New Grower second auto grow mainline experiment

Hey, the plant looks good, I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I'm running my autos on a 20/4 light schedule. It doesn't look like nute burn to me, I'm on my first grow though so I could be wrong. I had a similar problem that turned out to be a ph issue, but if you just flushed it shouldn't be that either.

I'm subbed dude. You are doing excellent with your plant training. I'd say you are right on getting a taller tent.

yeah i wish it was a simple nute issue, but i ph'd my runoff and it was clocking in at 6.3 so all good there and it partially looks like nute burn, but thats exactly what happens with light burn, it starts to mimic nutrient burn and deficiencies

and yeah im thinking i might up my timer to a 20/4 as well

see my last plant i harvested i noticed the little short leaves at the top growing out of the buds were turning yellow and reddish brown colourts and such, i thought it was the natural thing of the plant pulling nutrients from the leaves, but when i was reading up on light burn i was seeing pictures of exactly how my buds looked. so im pretty sure its definitly a light height issue

hey thanks a lot man! i enjoy trying different things for better or worse, its all about the fun of trying things to me. and im pretty sure that the taller tent will make all the difference, ill find out when it arrives since i have a new seed planted that should hopefully sprout and pop soil in the next day or two.

well hey all again decided to make a new thread on my second grow. this is the same afghan kush ryder as i grew last time only this time i changed the pot size from 3 gallon to one gallon and i am attempting a 4 cola mainline on it. now i know they say never to mainline an auto, but since im not about big yields and i have more seeds then plant i can smoke i like to try different things. im currently 4 weeks 4 days into this grow. and personally i think the plant is doing quite well.its throwing pistols out like crazy already, so perhaps she will be an earlier finisher. im curious to see how tings develop having only 4 colas tow ork with. i was going to try and go for 8, but i didnt thik the plant wold be able to handle it givin its short growth period. the plant isnt very tall of course, but neither was my other one and that past plant yielded pretty good in my eyes, so time will tell what happens with this one. so far im liking the results, especially growing in the one gallon pot, i find it much easier to manage. and ive already decided that my next grow will be auto cheese from canukl seeds (free seed i recievedwith my order). i havent grown anything sativa based yet so that will be a first. i will also be growing it in a one gallon pot but not sure on the style of training im going to use yet, i have to keep it short anyway, if the mainline experiement on currentgow goes okay then perhaps ill mianline it as well, but that will be a future grow.

hey man, welcome to my thread of second grow, and thanks for the great words of encouragment! . ill probably end up making this thread a dual grow one once my new auto cheese seed pops soil. so everyone watching will get two grows for one . im always hoping theres some things other new growers can take away from my trials and tribulations that can help them later.as well as always learning myself.

Yep I’m on my first real grow myself with lots of trials and tribulations... it’s become a real learning expierence but i knew I would run into serious issues knowing my luck!!! Oh and I did...lol

ha ha ive been lucky i havent had to face anything major. but im pretty particular with caring for my plants. its a theraputic thing for me. when tending to and looking after my plants i find it calming and relaxing. this light burning issue has been the first thing ive really ran into of any concern. im still baffled how my cheap grow light is causing problems,lol. if anyting i thought it would be to weak of a light since everyone else seems to be running 600 watt and above. but perhaps the viparspectra lights are better bang for the buck then other brand lower wattage lights. the light bur ning issue sucks, but at same times its good to know my light is putting out some good grow power.

well its been a few days and it seems that my plant issue is still progressing, so i officially filled out a medical form in the infirmary,lol. i have a real hard time diagnosing any problems since im new to growing and everything seems to look like it could be everything,lol. so hopefully the infirmary will help me out. i did give it a watering this morning with some sensi grow as well as sensi bloom at roughly 1/8th strength and also gave 1ml/litre of cal mag. im worried to give any stronger doses of anything since there is tip burn on my leaves. which i guess could be caused by whatever issue my plant is struggling with. im growing in a pro mix brand seed starter mix, its a different soil then i used with my first grow, so maybe that has something to do with it. i think i might try and pick up some pro mix organic at green house or herb and vegetable and perhaps try that in the future?
anyway heres some update pics i just took. at least its still flowering and not completly dead,lol.

also my auto chees seed from canuk seeds sprouted while i was away and is not roughly 1 inch above the soil. but i noticed that it only seems to have one cotyledon that i can see and the first tiny leaves are very very tiny. it looks pretty blah right now. but im going to give it a few more days and see if things kick off with it better, if not then i might just pull it and plant another seed. not going to bother taking pics of the cheese yet. if its growth picks up ill post some pics but if not then ill just drop another seed and hope for the best. if i do have to plant a new seed i might look at getting a different pro mix soil and try that.

Yep some of girls look like yours and one way worse I believe it to be my lights aswell trying to fix it but some of my leaves are toast!!!
