Well done. Beautiful bud on the AA.

Now I know why they call it Auto Assassin- it looks so killer!
They all look great and it looks like you'll have a fine harvest Andy. :jump:

Thanks for stopping by, everyone! I like a good sativa high, so I'm really looking forward to enjoying some well-cured Auto Assassin over the holidays. :D The Pineapple Express is a big mystery at this point, but I'm hoping it will surprise me and be a fantastic smoke.

Today I moved the Haze and RRF into their final storage jars with Boveda packets. They've been sealed up tight for the last week at a steady 62% humidity. Test buds off both plants were great but I still haven't tried the cured stuff yet. I found with my last plants that the cure really starts to reach perfection around the 1 month mark, so I'm going to try and leave them alone for a couple more weeks if I have the patience. So right now I've got nothing to do but enjoy the fruits of my labor and wait out the final days until the last two are chopped. It's hard to fight the urge to germ some more seeds and start it all again!

nice thread and beautiful grow Andy!there's getting to be alot of threads on here and it's taking me a little while to look at all of them.but sure am glad i found this one.:smokebuds:

Very frosty nugs ya got there Andy!! Cant wait to hear how the AA smokes as i have about a month left to try my own. They smell great thats for sure. Nice grow man!!

Final update as the girls got the chop yesterday. For the first time I tried leaving them in the dark for a couple of days before harvesting, and honestly I really didn't see any difference in the plants. I guess I'll see if it makes for a smoother smoke after the cure.

The Pineapple Express came a long way in the last couple of weeks. You can't really tell from the photos, but the bud became much more dense. Unfortunately it still never developed much of a smell. It finished with a generic green cannabis aroma with a slight touch of fruitiness. Definitely nothing that would make you think of pineapple. The trichome production was also the weakest of 6 strains I've grown recently. The buds are frosty enough, but the sugar leaves weren't coated like you see with Stich's strains. But the proof is in the final product so I'm hoping that it turns out well.

The Auto Assassin is a really impressive plant. Large main cola with a couple of fat side branches. The smell is grape bubble gum with a little bit of skunk in the background, and it's coated in crystals from top to bottom. I like an energetic sativa high, so I'm really looking forward to enjoying this one when it's cured.

Overall I think this grow was a success, despite a few issues here and there. I'm happy with the yield I got with 1 gallon pots and a small amount of T5 lighting. I calculated that I spent around $20 per month in electricity, so this was a very cost effective grow. Other than a little mag deficiency, the only significant problem I ran into was fungus gnats. But those were knocked out by the mosquito dunks that I used in my water. Speaking of that, I found that breaking up a dunk and putting it in a gallon of water wasn't very effective. But when I added a whole one to my 5 gallon bucket and let it sit for a week, the gnats were completely eradicated within a week or so.

It seems strange to have the lights shut off and the pumps quiet after 6 months of nonstop growing. But it'll be nice to take a break and enjoy my harvest while I plan my next crop. Thanks to everyone for following along and giving advice and encouragement. Stay tuned for smoke reports!
