Dragon Meds Season 3: Uk's Portal takes on Spain(mephisto and sweet)

looks like a successful trip indeed bro! knowing the structures and such on a body of water is a huge help for sure. glad ya took the camera out with ya man, you got me more anxious for fishing than i already am haha :pass:

Thats what makes this particular lake so difficult!! 120 miles of shorline, nobody winter fishing to give clues, and the structure is crazy....70 feet to 10 up and down all over the place...crazy!! The camera - I almost couldnt get any pics as my retractable lens was borderline freezing in the cold. I tried to get more pics but weather was cold....have to try to find something else that can handle the cold well.

now that does sound like a crazy lake, but all them drop offs and stuff make for great fishing! hope you find out something that works better because them pics were cool!
Ahh fortunately my buddy did get some amazing videos on his phone though!! The vids are so good compared to many others we have watched, that we might pursue a sponsor!!
so cool! get that sponsorship man!

Okay, okay!! First thing is first...got home from my fishing trip...so a touch of history first. My buddy and I have been fishing togather through the ice for around 20 years...we have travelled all over the place seeking big fish through the ice and our success has been hit and miss....anyways my buddies dad bought a camp way up north(10 hour drive) and we have been going up there in the winter for 4 years now. Again success on this huge lake is hit and miss, more so in the winter when fish tend to be fairly inactive. We have had okay success in this lake in the winter and caught some solid whitefish, lake trout and walleye, but nothing overly big and tops 10 fish a day.
So now onto this year....my buddy spent a bit of cash and bought a lake chip with the lake the cabin included so it show under water contours....this was HUGE....we saw a spot on the detailed map that looked too good to be true!! Well it wasnt and our instincts treated us very well!! This new spot was instantly good and we caught a ton of fish....one day i landed over 30 walleye myself, and every other day i landed 10+.

Highlights
Lake trout - 8 landed with 5 of them being over 15 pounds in weight, with 2 being over 35" in length!! Shown is a 29" fish

Walleye - 6 fish landed over 20" in length...none were monsters, but several fish landed in the 17"+ size. Here is a pic of a 20" my buddy grabbed

OH yeah bud...those lakers do get a fair size...i for see a 25 pounder coming to the top of the ice in the next couple of years...i had one on the end of my line on 4 pound test(finesse rod for walleye), and the thing was screaming out so much drag i though my reel was going break into 5 pieces!! I ended up losing the fish, but damn it was a big one, much bigger than the one in the pic!!!

For eating through(in my opinion) the Whitefish and Walleye are the species to get!! I am also quite keen on eating nice 10 pound northern pike as well...we got 2 pike this trip 6-8 pounds.
