where is the bark from the lower part of the trunk on the plant in the 2nd pic ?
do you have rodent problems ?
i do , we have small'ish rats that get in any way they can when the winter turns cold , i find the odd chewed leaves , some stems chewed all the way around , useually no further then removing what i would call the bark , but this winter one actually chopped down an entire plant , luckilly it was approx a week from harvest and flushing had begun
