Has it been plowed under regular Mossy or just chopped?

Looks like a skim to me GB...just makes you realise how big the place is when the land is clear.

We are not Exactly sure which way it will happen.

The shepherds said that the watering system in the field needs dug up and replaced..so I guess that will happen before the field is ploughed..
but we Ordered the farmer/tractor to turn over the land before we spoke to them about it.

I'm Assuming that they both work in tandem..but you know what assuming does...:coffee2: ..

If hubby is here when they come to do the paddock we will probably know more...his Spanish is better than mine.

Nice new tractor too..there must be Profit around here somewhere....sometime when I see big machinery..I Miss my big ol' forklift truck..me and her shared many happy memories....

I Think I got tractor Envy...:tiphat:

Looking great mossy!

could you give me more details on your poly tunnel?

We are going to need several for this outdoor season, have seen a lot on uk Amazon/eBay, but haven't had chance to put much research in to availability here.
if they will last a season, or can be modified to last a couple of seasons that would do us perfectly.

cheers and keep up the hard and good work , mitch

Morning Mossy, looks like the farmer used a rotary plow on the field, nice way to break up and incorporate organic matter into the soil. Really does look dry though. Is he going to plant something in it for you as well?

When we were out and about the other day..all of the broccoli fields were being picked.....in the old fashioned way.

They simply cut the head out...I checked the field next to me..and nicked a couple of the leaves..
lightly boiled they were delicious..also...every bit as nutricious as the broccoli itself.

I Think the farmer will just be letting the sheep in to clear the field...:Clever Sh*te:...if he does..he'll have no objections to me going in harvesting a few hundred leaves for myself to put into our 50 variety supplement either huh....?

Keeping the costs down by using what is naturally available....After I have checked he is Organic...

Got the tiller out and tilled in my leaf compost.
Getting ready for spring.

Cheers mitch.

When I looked I couldn't find similar in Spain so I ordered from ebay..I sent you a link to the company I used.
I looked for the cheapest price and posting..but after I ordered it they came back for more postage..so double check...
But..you still get a 6 x 3 x 2 mtr tunnel for under £200.

Replacement covers run around £64..plus postage.

Later I found some in Leroy Merlin if you have one near you.
They had exactly the same tunnel as mine..slightly more expensive..but when you add in the post and packing from the UK it might work out cheaper.

Being winter you have to Order them...this is the other one I found..slightly dearer..with a 2 year guarantee which I Think would cover the plastic sheeting too..but they are both in the same display book..so you can compare

If you are growing what I Think...you would be better off with the same as me..coz the green banding in the cover is a bit more covert than a see through tunnel...:coffee2:

Evening oldster......yes it looked like a rotary plow to me..

Hubby has told the shepherd that if they repair the agricultural water..they can use the field...as long as they pay for the water.
I Think they will jump on it..they certainly sounded Enthusiastic..and as the broccoli has just cropped..there will be a replacement crop..so I'm guessing they will go for it fast.

End of Jan/feb Rainy season is due..but apart from that..the guy we bought the place from said the agricultural water system was In..but hadn't been Used for 14-17 years..so I'm guessing that is why it is so dry.

Natural watering only.

Nice that looks spot on, and the price seems reasonable!
its not a dead cert that we'll
be in the same location year after year so for the money we'd definitely get our usage out of those.
Is the door a zipped one? We need to butterfly proof this year, not such a problem for autos as the cycle is so quick, but they made a mess of a lot of our photos last year!

thanks for the help, have a leroy merlin not too far away, definitely worth a looksie!
