And....how much Excitement can someone get in one day...?....:woohoo:

The cover was a Pain.....:slaps:..you need it pulled tight as possible to Fit..but there is nothing to grip to pull it.

Got one side tied in and the other side was miles out so we had to loosen everything off and try to slide everything over an inch or two...real PITFA..

Hubby and me are both feeling the pain tonight.
Wish I had a bath so I could have a magnesium soak.....:Mag soak:....so I settled for a red hot shower...so Hot I Think I burned off the top layer of skin...but..simple Pleasures...a red hot shower with a great water pressure when you have been working hard is a Blessing..and I'll make sure to have a magnesium foot soak later.

I Think when the cover has had a couple of days in the warm Spanish sun it will stretch enough to give us the extra inch to get the cover fasteners in the correct place. Fingers Crossed.

Hubby made a start on trimming the dead palm to see if there is a way to get it out of the main garden..you can see the tunnel in the background..it doesn't look out of place...so it will probably be it's permanent site.

Can't get closer to the cold house/potting area.

It is a shame..the inner space looks like a great place to make a Den for the grandchildren..but the leaves..especially dried and dead are like Saw Blades..really lethal..so it has to go.

 you did say you were having lamb today didn't you ?

Hi Mossy quick question. What do you have holding it to the ground, I see you have the flap at the bottom tucked underneath.
Mine I have it outside with soil on top this holds it down and helps to stretch the cover tighter

"MysticMossy" yup..but I was Thinking more chops on BBQ.....:coffee2:..not complaining though..the chops are yet to come.......:Medibles: ...I'm Starving..I had no brekky....

Make sure and keep that tunnel well ventilated! I had some mold issues in mine this summer. Also tie that baby down! I woke up to mine trying to dance across the yard in a wind storm. Nothing quite like trying to save a bunch of 8 foot plants from being crushed while wrangling a 8x6x7 greenhouse in your undies. I'm fairly certain the neighbor saw

Can't you guys just burn the palm? That's what I'd do here in Oregon.

Evening Peteey...temp fix....until tomorrow.
I needed to see what shadow it cast on the potting shed before deciding it's permanent site.

We tucked it underneath and put some big wooden batten on it to keep everything on the ground tonight if the wind picks up.

We have metal stakes to bat into the ground to strengthen the fame hold...but I'm not sure what hubby is planning for the cover yet.

With planting the tunnel on the yard we are into a deep layer of hardcore under the sprinkling of gravel...so we will probably be looking at alternatives for the cover fix.

I love visiting this thread it makes me smile.. so much good energy here !!

Cheers The Elvis...not so much energy tonight....everything I have aches.

I Wish it had happened summer..I would have went down for a sea soak..dose up on magnesium for the aches...
would have been more hell putting the tunnel up though...temps went from 28 C outdoors to 38 C inside when I shut the doors...:firedevil:..we was melting.....

I was just Thinking the other day when we were yapping..Stoner Dream to get all of us down there with Good Smokes...:toke toking:..and The Elvis doing us a Show...That would be a night to remember a life-time huh...?

Yea sure im all in .. as I have never been to Spain but what are you gonna do with that fish eating bird? maybe a doggy bed in the dry house?? .. Id like to get a room down on the beech honestly!! :Sharing One:

Nice looking hoop house you got there Mossy. Just a suggestion, you might want to pad where the purlins touch the end panels. We use a couple of heavy duty hoop houses as livestock shelters and the wind will eventually cause the purlins to make holes in the end panels.

Looks like things are coming along well on the farm!

Evening MrP.....how are you doing...?..keeping Well I Hope....

Also tie that baby down!

Yeah..yeah..yeah...been there.....:coffee2:

:Nosey Neighbour:..well..not quite there...but I have had me mary poppins moments with them....

Concentration on the enclosed area..and with the reeds closing up one side..we forget how big the place is..
we were checking the filed borders yesterday to look at the possibilities of fencing..and all I could Think was bloody Hell..it is massive....:jaw:

See the other house on the left..you can see a line of canes along his border..all the rest is ours...we have another big swathe to the side of our canes.

I'll never fill it...

ould help with the farm. Start a fish pool. Help Mr Mossy with this erections. As in the tunnel.
Give a poor penguin a break. Or some fish. Or a cuddle. Or the lot.

It will have to be a big cuddle eP........hubby is terribly jealous..and wouldn't share his Pilchards with any young virile penguin.......
