I've set aside two plots for Aloe..but I was Thinking it would be few Years while I raised the mothers.

Is the Aloe that you are surrounded by in your old place or the dream one..?...coz Honest..if you are Thinking of any treatment for yourself or anyone else..Aloe is liquid Gold.

If you Learned to Process..it would be Very beneficial in any Health Program...cough..cough...:PH Reading..?:

I Swear the belief I could relieve my chronic pain syndrome Started with aloe vera and cannabis.
In combo they were my Light at the end of the Tunnel.

Plumber didn't turn up..but perhaps a Blessing it was bloody freezing...I Think we are getting the tail end of the UK Freezing conditions.

You can't really complain when it is a Lovey job rather that a full price one.
He got held up at another job...so we are on for tomorrow tea-time.
When he finishes his work/jobs.

The cat was in it's new home this morning..TFFT..it would be a bugger to waste the money..But..I have the feeling it is a savvy cat..if the home comforts are there he won't be turning them down.

Hubby dragged the Tunnel boxes onto the patio today..."pher Wiggle"..I was so Excited.
He said start by sorting out all the pieces into the numbered piles..I was on it like a whippet at broth...:dance2:

The he says..oh we better not..if it rains it will get into the inside of the pipes and rust...Aggghhhh......:slaps:..Aggghhh....:slaps:..Aggghhh....:slaps:

I Suppose it would be better to wait for the field being turned over..but I am so Frustrated..I feel as if Nothing is getting Done.

We did at least measure out where it is going to go and it is spot on.

I'm siting it tight in against the fence to see if we can add some addition guy ropes from the frame to the fence to give it a bit more high wind support.
There is nary a hill or undulation between us and the coast..and I swear sometimes the gales blow right across the sea from Italy...:coffee2:..well it Feels like it.

All around us except to the east/coast we are surrounded by a horse shoe of mountains which tend to absorb a lot of Bad weather around us..but to the east we are wide open.

interesting,about that tabacky drying n curing.if you had fires essentially buring the air around it Id imagine it dries fast but the cure and comditions are lengthy for that maturing..?hmmm,very interesting. Ive toyed with the notion of growing my own LOL!:Sharing One:

Aloe vera is not a cactus but is a succulent and a member of the lily family.
If GoAuto has it coming out his ass it would be more along the lines of a "succulent lily ass" lol . :rofl:(apologies if I've been too pedantic)

Mossy if the tunnel is one with mild steel painted poles with plastic connectors getting moisture in there will rust them out in a couple of seasons.

When I bough my last one I bough some "no more nails" which is a high strength adhesive and a application gun like you would use for silicone sealant & filled each plastic connector with the adhesive.

One of the problems with mild steel tubing and plastic connectors is when you water inside the tunnel the water will ingress the joint and you will get rust which eventually eats away the poles and you end up with a usless and broken tunnel.

By filling the connectors and stopping the ingress of water the life of the structure will be substantially longer and will probably outlast the plastic covering unless it has a good UV coating which will make the covering last longer.

If your tunnel isn't the type of tunnel I am talking about please ignore this info.

Hoop houses can be made DIY using blue water pipe and rebar if hubby is in to the DIY thing - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErkJmoWSYnQ

update: if this info doesnt apply mossy... store it anyway... :grin:

also... seal the bottom of the tubes as well.. moisture can invade virtually any crevice... especially from the ground.

For the bottom horizontal poles i put those grey foam insulation tubes designed for water pipe to stop them freezing, doing this stop the paint getting scratched and rusting.

JM is it possible we are brother from different mothers? Quite possibly so and you just made a stronger point for that by putting up that trailerpark boys vid :D

Plus if you saw my permaculture & organics gardening/farming collection your jaw would drop, I'm also a big fan of eco houses and renewable energies.
