Indoor Ryker604's Indoor Extravaganza feat. AutoPots, BioTabs, HID lights and 17 plants

HARVEST RESULTS

Well, time to see the fruits of our labor :yay:. I'll go through the results by tent with some not-so-good quality pics of the main strain in the tent and a quick bag appeal description. Before I continue, a quick recap of the drying process: once the plants were harvested they got a good, aggressive wet trim and were put into brown paper bags - I covered the whole bottom of the bag, cramming them side to side but NOT on top one of another. Conditions during drying were - ~22°C and ~40% RH. The buds took around 4 days to dry and then were put into glass jars for curing. The weight was measured right before jarring (because I couldn't be bothered otherwise :smoking:) so not the most precise but what can you do. Think that's about it :2cents:.

Enjoy :vibe:.

Tent 1 - Double Grapes

  • DG 1 - the tallest of the bunch at 55-60 cm  - 147 g
  • DG 2 - most dense and frosted nugs - 138 g
  • DG 3 - 127 g
  • DG 4 - smallest one at 45 cm - 100 g
  • Total: 512 g --- 0.85 GPW
More than satisfied with this tent, the Double Grapes KILLED it :clapper:. Very low maintenance, healthy through the whole grow, took training well, stayed small and compact while yielding very good. Could've put another 5 in the tent :pop:. Buds are rock hard and probably the most trichome covered pot I've seen, pics don't do it justice. They don't have an intense smell, would say bland even but there are hints of grape and fuel somewhere in the back.

Tent 2 - Cosmic Queens (+ 1 Night Queen)

  • CQ 1 - could be the healthiest of the bunch, I liked her the most and she took the longest so to say - 130 g
  • CQ 2 - earliest frost, could be the fastest of them - 131 g
  • CQ 3 - showed bleaching but was the widest of them and she is the winner of this grow considering yield, did not expect that - 160 g
  • NQ 2 - this Night Queen suffered from bleaching - 158 g
  • Total: 579 --- 0.965 GPW --- BEST YIELD
Cosmic Queen fell out of the spotlight a bit because of the Double Grapes but the same level of awesomeness if you will . Healthy throughout, took training well (but would say that it made them TOO bushy :2cents:), FROST CITY  and they smell DIVINE. The end product is nothing short of amazing - the best smelling weed I've encountered. Smells of a specific fruit (which reminds me of watermelon) and stinky cheese, very very tasty. Buds are sativa like, elongated but calyx are dense and hard and they have a light green color with pink/orange pistils, very nice. Night Queen will get a description in tent 4.

Tent 3 - Cream Mandarine XL (+ 1 Buddha's Sister)

  • CM 1 - topped, the healthiest of them, rock hard, grenade colas - 115 g
  • CM 2 - no training (lil' bit of LST), medium size, took a hard hit of CalMg def - 113 g
  • CM 3 - the tallest of the bunch, above 1m, took a hard hit of bleaching and CalMg def - 123 g
  • BS - yellow plant from the beginning, tiny, thin buds, don't know what was wrong with her but nice size - 100g
  • Total: 451 g --- 0.75 GPW
This tent was somewhat of a disappointment considering yield, not that shabby but not great . Could say that they were the most finicky of the grow and they probably eat more CalMg than is usual :2cents:. With better conditions/care, could see 150g on these plants. However, the end product is top notch . Possibly the most complicated and intricate aroma, a lot of "foreign" spices and orange citrus - oranges and mandarines . Buds are frosted and hard with a dark color to them.

Tent 4 - Cherry Bomb, Night Queen, Cream Mandarine XL and Cosmic Queen

  • CB 1 - great growth, healthier of the two - 145 g
  • CB 2 - bigger of the pair and the highest plant in the grow at ~110cm, got hit good with bleaching - 149 g
  • NQ 1 - healthier of the pair, very nice, robust plant - 155 g
  • CM 4 - the survivor, only plant in the grow that yielded below 100 g, the frostiest of the Mandarines  - 83 g
  • CQ 4 - runt, completely thrown into fresh frozen trim for bubble hash, hope she finds peace in that form :smoking: - ?
  • Total: 532 g --- 0.89 GPW
To be honest, expected more from the Cherry Bombs considering their size but that's life for you, you can throw predictions out of the window . Nothing bad to say about the Cherry Bombs, awesome strain, very nice growth and frosted buds. Took on a sour/sweet smell in the jar, very tasty but not precisely cherry, getting there :woohoo1:. Night Queen are amazing and recommended. Dutch Passion really has some SOLID genetics, proven time and time again. These two NQs yielded 150g each without a fuss and primo bud to boot. A LOT of crystals on the buds with a nice sweet/earthy smell to them (citrus when smoked!). NQ1 put out some purple during the last two weeks which can be seen in the pics (purple hue on the buds). First up is NQ and then Cherry Bomb.

This lead us to a grand TOTAL: 2074 g --- 0.86 GPW :coco:.

That's it for now, I'm dead tired :coffee2:. Stay tuned for some news, a resume of the grow and maybe more (better quality/light) pics.

Happy growing :vibes:.

3.44 am in the morning and still awake?
Well, i couldn't sleep anymore and do chilling while breakfast, great harvest Ryker and good job, what a effort with 4 tents and 17 plants, monster grow with nearly 1 GPW.
Happy Weekend!:nicethread:

Very nice update Ryker, as always.
I think you should be happy with a 2 kilo harvest considering you were doing many strains for the first time.
And the trim-job you did pays off right now showing those excellent buds.
Thanks for showing us the different strains and how they perform and smell. Do i have to say i really want to try 1 each of your buds :smokeit: :baked:
Great job start to finish. :greencheck:

great stuff ryker i think you should be stoked with those results iv always thought when using a 600 anything over 400g was a win in my setups keep doing what you do bud
:d5:  :clapper: :smokeit: :greenthumb:

WTF? Why didn’t I get any bloody notifications again?? Weird.

Nice one dude!!! [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]

All done and a bloody amazing job you did buddy.

Yield looks bloody good to me. I wouldn’t be complaining! And an awesome selection of hard hitting meds [emoji106]

All with organic Biotabs remember! Not force fed 6 different bottles of crap [emoji106]

Lovely looking buds mate. Super congratulations. What time will you be here with my 17 different tester buds? Sorry, correction, 16 as one is in the hash bin already [emoji23][emoji23]

Hahaha, yeah man, was arranging the pics and post for almost 2 hours but it's done :d5:. Thank you for the nice words and you'll be happy to know that I'm starting my FLO grow .

Great job start to finish. :greencheck:

:slap:

And I think that you know that feeling when you KNOW you could do better :smoking:. But yeah, I'm not that hard on myself, these are great results - 15 of 16 autoflowers I grew yielded more than 100g . The trim job was a PAIN IN THE ASS . However, I agree with you, the attention to detail during the trim really lets the buds shine and I like it that way.

Thank you for the kind words and rep, I hope we'll have a chance to try our products some time :toke:.

Thank you man, I'm satisfied, don't get me wrong but I know that some mistakes costed me a part of the yield and me no like that :smoking:. I'm confident now that I can get almost always around 500g per tent in this setup, so yeah, seems like a good base to start my growing adventures for real :pass:.

Tremendous. What an outstanding job. :worship: Thanks for all the detailed time spent on the journal. :bighug::slap::slap:

Thank you dude and no problem, I personally think that I'm lacking in details, much more stuff to write but who has the time, eh :smoking:? :smoking:

Thank you, it's finally done :yay:. Can we scale down that number to 5? We'll try every strain, think that's enough :smoking:.

CONCLUSION

Well, as I'm already replying to you guys discussing the finished grow, it's probably time to finish it officially here in the thread.
First of all, to make sure, I AM satisfied with the final results. Quality is OUTSTANDING, again!, which proves to me that BioTabs are the real deal and I'm sticking with them perfecting this setup. Considering I have some great ORGANIC end product on my hands, the yield is very nice too .

However, I do know that I've made some mistakes during this grow and that it could've been better, yield at least :2cents:. Germination was great, almost all of the seeds popped (17/18) but I wasn't satisfied with the transplant into the final Autopots - seems that it was early and the girls suffered some transplant stress. One of the reasons that I'm now trying a later transplant with bigger, nursery pots in the start .

Light was another problem, it was TOO close most of the time and caused some good bleaching in at least half of the plants. The conclusion was that autoflowers don't need the same intensity of light as photos because they have a longer light regime (more hours in the light) and that I should keep HID lights at a minimum of 50-60cm away from autoflowers :2cents:. Better luck next time :smoking:.

The last grow I did made me realize that the pure coco I use is low in micro elements so I found some dolomite lime to add this grow. At first I wasn't satisfied with the effect but I realized that it helped a lot as there were little signs of CalMg def (only on some CalMg hogs) and the bleaching was mostly caused by light being too close. Still needs adjusting but it's an improvement.

I think that's about it concerning this grow, on to the next :smokeit:! Got some live seedlings (photoperiods too! a first for me :woohoo1:!) already and the plan is to continue with this setup - BioTabs for the win . This time I will be trying out soil instead of coco and possibly running some Airdomes.

And of course, with the great help of our friend @TheMongol I'm gonna be trying out some FLOrganics in Autopots, very excited about that :woohoo:. Double the organics this run it seems.

Also I'll try to put up some grow/smoke reports for the strains here. Meanwhile you can read my grow/smoke report of Auto Glueberry OG by Dutch Passion from the last grow and enjoy a photo from a dried Double Grape and Cosmic Queen bud :pass:.

And for last, I can't even start to describe how much this community means to me and I appreciate it so much for all you guys participating, helping and hanging out :bighug:.
Hope that I can keep up with spreading the positive vibes around and I wish all of you luck with you growing adventures :smokeout::vibes:.

Peace out :smoking:.

Great concluding write-up Ryker. I loved hearing your lessons-learned summaries.

I've do 3 runs with Biotabs since starting up a year ago. I'm getting better, but have not hit the sweet-spot yet. So far I'm getting far better yields in fiber pots with the classic line-up of a ga-zillion bottled nutes than I have with Biotabs in the AutoPots. I've always used the AutoPots and airdomes with the Biotabs -- and I think that's a good thing. But I've also always used coco --- and I'm now going to switch over to Roots Organics Soil to see if that makes a difference. I think it will.

The last time I ran Biotabs I prepped the coco with dolomite and azomite and silicum flash -- and got my best results. The next run will get the same amendments, but it will be soil and I'll also add a big handful of worm casings.

Its encouraging and helpful to see you and Hippy being so diligent and focused on making BT such a success for you. :slap:

Awesome finish up mate. Nicely done.

Really looking forward to seeing you grow some photos with Biotabs. Great stuff [emoji3]

Well dude that was definitely another quality organic Biotabs grow and the end product speaks for itself. You’re definitely a bit of a master now.

Just watch those bloody light heights [emoji23]

Really amazing growing and journaling mate [emoji3][emoji106]
