Thanks for the advice! I may know what you guys are talking about, but if it is known where i could see some example pics, it would be greatly helpful and appreciated....

I'll see if i can dig something out of the picture archive, sure there's something there related to this

Sweet! Though, this morning, I went to poke around, and see if I could see what you were talking about, He spurted up a bit last night! Couple more sacs became apparent. I think I know what you guys are talking about, after another look, about the crowning, being all bundled up and all at the top. Interesting observation! I wonder what else we will notice about males!

I had a female show today! Guess who? #3! I'll try to get some shots of her up here later.

Questions!

#1, how long until those pollen sacs pop on #4

#2 Should I transplant them now that they have shown gender? Once Transplanted, They will be moved to my HPS tent.

Thanks!

should start dropping pollen around week 5 and yes , if they have shown sex you should transplant now:smokebuds:

my cotyledons were ok, but nothing else came out but a really small brown protrusion, where a first set of true leaves should be. That's all. The brown protrusion hasn't even grown out!
I had a BlueStreak that did that, it was an F1 and has been the only time I have seen it happen.

Anyhow best of luck with the ones you have growing :)

Alright, so #1 is a male. It flowered about 5 days later, appears to have more non glandular trichs on the main stem, and most definitely has tighter internodal growth.

So a few quesitons, and hopefully I can get this answered before one starts to throw pollen!

How does how early an auto shows gender seem to affect yeild? I do not yet have the means to grow both males out and do a side by side, but hopefully will soon. I am trying to decide which one to cull. I like the non glandular tichs, tighter internodal growth, but i also liked how early the other male showed, does anyone know if this is correlated to yield? I also like the compact and tight internode space, but does that equate to lower yeilds?

My gut is telling me go with the later flowering one, and worry about when it shows later, but i want to make sure my instincts are right as to what to look for.

Thanks!

While I agree with your gut, and it has been my experience, though somewhat limited with autoflowers, I would think that posting this particular question in the breeders forum, will get you a much more knowledgeable reply. That was one hell of a run-on sentence, but I think it got the idea across.:smoke:

P.S. I think you have another week, to make this decision.

I have to decide very very soon. a few sacs popped. I'm just going to quote myself from the breeder's forum, lets see if the pics show up. I'm wondering which male to cull....

The earlier flowering male has a few things i like, I'm about to post up a few pics. Today is deciding day, as a few pollen sacs has opened up.

The earlier flowering male is on the right. It is taller and lankier. Its floret density isnt as compact as with the later flowering plant. However, it's aroma is greater, though this may be because it is a few days ahead, and also, a few florets showed purple! i hope you can see in the pics i put up. it's not alot, but it starts somewhere!

I'm still torn, really hopeing for some advice asap. I like the growth pattern of the later flowering, but the slight purple, and aroma seems like a good place to start.

It starts with plant on the right, then to plant on left, (closeups are of plant on right ), and the very las one is my female for kicks.
