Hello all!
I'd like to start saying that I am not looking to get banned or anything but I am extremely curious about what I could do with what I've got.

I had the chance to get my hands on some pure ruderalis seeds when I was in Ukraine. (picked it up myself)

I know it's extremely hard to find a pure strain, specially the ruderalis one. I'd like to know if any of you know a good, reputable seedbank you think would buy what I've got? Since they sell hybrids for 10-15 euros A SEED ( crazy o_O) what would be the value of one pure ruderalis seed nowaday? Sorry again guys but I went through a lot of trouble to get my hands on that and I would like to provide an awesome seedbank who would give an honest price .The community is splitted between different opinions . Some say it's gold, others say it's only a ditch weed. With the Ukrainian and Russian law, it's almost impossible to even work with hemp. Anything related is considered illegal so I'm not inclined to believe anyone who says it's easy to get.

Thank you in advance!

I suggest doing some home work on ruderalis.. It's not hard to find or get for people that want it.. It's like most landrace.. I could get landrace Ruderalis seeds right now that where collected in Russia, Serbia, Ukraine, ect.. It grows wild in all of these areas.. Fields of it.. Just like any landrace.. But I doubt there is a seed bank that would want them.. Autos have advanced far to much to go backwards. The only people I know growing ruderalis are doing it to preserve certain landrace auto strains. Going from growing a mephisto/dinafem strain, to growing ruderalis, is like going from driving a Lamborghini to riding the bus.. Once you understand ruderalis, you'll see why the seeds are not marketable on a large scale..

You'll get different opinions, so I suggest educating yourself on ruderalis so that you know what is on par and what isn't.

I'm planning on breedding ruderalis and Lemon together. Nothing crazy but I would love to try. About the "marketable option" , I came accross many people, and myself included ,who can't find any seedbanks offering them. There used to be a polish company selling em years ago but the few ones selling it are backorder now. I even came accros this post but I dont know what to think of that. it is such a paradoxal strain

Yeah, I doubt seed banks will ever carry them on a normal scale. They aren't really desired by growers.. Why do you/would you want to cross a modern day auto to ruderalis? Im just trying to better understand your plan or idea.

In fact, since many indica/sativa strains are created each year, I'm assuming someone somewhere would like to breed those new strains with the ruderalis for the flowering delay and high CBD content. And for this I'm assuming its better to start with a pure ruderalis and working from there to stabilize the genetic traits? I might be wrong here . I am puzzled by the fact that many people say it's very hard to buy pure unbreed seeds. But since autoflow. is a crazy huge business, I believe not a single seedbank would like to lose control over those hybrids they create and sell. I was hoping a seedbank would be interrested to create fresh new stable strains with the new stuffs comin out each year. That was my idea of the picture but as I said, I could be wrong also. I just don't see the point of using an hybrid with lets say 6% ruderalis and hoping to keep the recesssive genes instead of starting by step 1. Thanks by the way for your time , really appreciated!

I kind of see where you are going! It makes sense. But unfortunately the only desirable trait of ruderalis is the auto gene. Everything else is usually bred out of the strain. Most seed banks don't breed or make seeds, they just sell them. Most seed banks don't sell many landrace seeds of ant kind. Most people don't want to start at zero when they can start at 100. The people that want ruderalis want it because it's a pure landrace. Once you cross it to a modern auto, it's no longer stable or a land race. If I want to make an original auto flower strain high in cbd, I would take a modern male auto flower and use its pollen on a photo period plant that is high in cbd. Then breed it to f4 when it's fully auto. That's how most original autos are made these days. Making a new hybrid auto by starting with a ruderalis landrace is a daunting task. Breeders like Joint Doctor already did the work of isolating the auto gene from ruderalis almost 20 yrs ago so that we don't have to do that today. Some people may like the harder route though and if thats the plan, then I say go for it!!
