The ones look like they are in smaller pots than 3 gal. What are you feeding them? As stated before, it looks like yoi have too many plants in your space. Yields can go down as a result of overcrowding. I would also be proactive and grab some yellow stickies for IPM. Fox Farm is know for bugs, and it is the time of year when Gnats come out in many places. Overcrowding and overwatering can cause Gnat issues. You can never be too careful this time of year. Not saying you have gnats or pests, being proactive will save you if you do happen to have any. Practice watering around the OUTSIDE of the pot. Avoid heavy runoff. Less is more with Coco. It is better to water less amounts and more frequently for optimal growth. I prefer to feed my Coco plants multiple times per day, in small amounts. How are you prepping your Coco and what have the one in the pic had to eat and how often? Good luck, slow

I haven’t done anything to Prep the Coco. I was wondering if I should be doing that. Thx for the suggestion about the gnats. I thought I saw one the other day but wasn’t sure. I feed Mega Crop + Sweet Candy. I feed 5mg MC + 1mg SC. 1x week I use 1.5mg Recharge. My feeding has been inconsistent because I had issues w the soil being too wet in the bag when I bought it. Didn’t realize it was a problem til after I planted & the soil stayed wet. That’s when my issues started. All my other plants are fine but the 2 I started in 5g pots with wet soil have given me problems the whole time. All my others are in 3 gallon. Tent is a 4x5. I forgot to mention they are rootmaker pots which are taller / more narrow 3 gallon

Yes, that sounds about right. If you saw 1 flyer, there are more breeding. Gwt some yellow stickies my friend. It can save your harvest from being smaller that it should. There is a chance that they came in the bags of Coco loco if it was wet in the bag. Do you have access to better Coco? Coco should not be wet in the bag...but I dont use Foxfarm...is it a mix of Coco and soil? If so, I suggest going straight Coco. Perlite and or soil mixed in with Coco is useless and can often cause more issues than straigjt up Coco. I even say Coco with some Hydroton is way better than perlite if you are wanting more drainage. Anyways, if the Coco Loco was wet in the bag...I would be switching to a different brand anyhow. If you need any advice, just holler. Overwatering in Coco is NOT a myth. Less is more. And I suggest prepping your Coco with 1/2 strength nutes. Watering lightly around the outside of the pot when needed. Dont water around the stem. Roots seek moisture. Watering around the stem is counterproductive. But I see a ton of people on here do it and they dont realize they are just slowing root growth down.

Yes the coco loco is is coco / soil mix from my understanding. What kind of coco do u suggest? I bought some blocks of coco before I got the coco loco but haven’t tried it. I just ordered some gnat traps from amazon...thx. It was just one bag of wet coco loco. All the rest have been fine. Those were my first plants using it. I did dwc 1x before. I’m a newbie.

I really like Char Coir coco. Coco bags should not be wet. Also, a soil/coco mix does not drain like straight Coco. It holds more water. If you use Char Coir or your Coco Bricks. Hydrate with 1/2 strength nutes. Let sit and then squeeze the Coco in your hands as you load it into your pots. 3 to 5 gal of Coco can stay too wet for seedlinga if you dont squeeze out some of the moisture before loading. ..after hydrating in 1/2 strength nutes. Then if you plant seed directly, use a small cup...like 9oz and water around the outside of the pot. Coco is like a sponge. You want the outer part to be MORE moist than the inside for the first 2 weeks . Roots will seek moisture. If you start too wet or water too much...they dont have a reason to grow, because they are wet already. Overwatering can cause many issues. If you have atanding water anywhere, clean it up to avoid potential pests. Put your yellow traps up by your lights and also by your pots to start off. If you catch a bunch of flyers...grab some mosquito dunks so you can get rid of them faster. For the untrained eye, many people go rounds without knowing they had gnats the whole time. You are doing the right thing. Proactive is the key. Good luck, slow

Never heard of mosquito dunks. How do I use them? I’m gonna try using my coco brick for the seeds I drop this wknd. Do I need to wash or do anything before adding the 1/2 strength nutes. I’m using the new versions of Mc + SC do I need to use any calmag. I don’t think so but just asking.

Whatvkind of Coco? Good coco is rinsed and buffered. I dont have the new MC, supposidly is higher in Calmag tho. If you have cobs, you may need extra. But read your plants. I dont want to tell you without teying new MC. Mosquito dunks are sold at Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon, ect. Break them up into crumbs and sprinkle on top of your Coco. Totally safe. They kill gnats and larvae. If you have gnats, its a cheap and effective tool. But dilligence and yellow stickies will be your best friends. If you have flyers, they can multiply rapidly. Breaking the cycle is required. Put your yellow stickies up. Give it a couple of days. Put some near the pot tops, gnats like to hang out by the main stalks and fly away when watered. But they also can buzz around lights. So hang a couple higher for dual protection. If you have gnats, you will know for surely once you get your yellow traps. If you have them, grab dunks too. Good luck

Coco is Coco Bliss from Amazon. I’m using Mars Hydro SP250 LED lights. Thx for all the advice.

Never used it, but says its clean and low ec. Hydrate in a bucket with 1/2 strength nutes. Let sit for a few hours and then squeeze out a lot of the moisture as you load your pots. I personally woukd wait until AFTER you hang your yellow traps. Dont want to ruin new seedlings if you have bugs. Good luck, slow

@Mizzo81 whst is the difference in the Canna brush and a silicone BBQ brush? Besides $25? Not being stupid, I really want to know because that is what it looks like. I emaile Canna brush to ask them. I know it is weighted. But not sure what else is different. They are marking it up a ton. $30 shipped is not a big deal if it works well.
