Anyone run some of the auto mix freebies and have advice? It’s about 92 days from sprout, cloudy trichomes with a bunch of clear still. Not much amber at all. I feel like it is running long, is it? Anyone have issues getting them to amber up at all?

It could be literally any of the roc strains if it’s a mix. The auto mix, from what I can tell is just a grab bag mix of his seeds. No tellin what they are lol. Just meaning my auto mix is almost certainly different than yours. So any advice would be just a shot in the dark.

with that being said, there are lots of autos that don’t follow the amber Trichs theory of harvest. One way that is being floated around on how to tell if it’s ready to harvest, is by looking at the trich head as it connects to the stalk. Basically as it gets nearer to harvest the bulbous head becomes more encouraged and kinda lifts off the stalk, making it look like a mushroom.

do you have a scope? Also do you have any pics of the said plant? It might help us narrow down what strain it is

Let the plant tell you. Amber may be light yellow on that strain like so many others I've seen lately. But amber or yellow you can't deny the clear. Give her a week. IMO. I think we all harvest too early as a rule. You can quit all inputs.

Nah, I get that, just wondering if overall maybe the mixes run long potentially. Here are some scope pics I have, best I can do is screenshot from videos as it’s just a little clip on phone scope and easier that way. Some of the leaves will have amber, but I feel like I’m still seeing clear ones. Idk, it could be just how I’m looking at them. I don’t have any recent full plant pics because I’m embarrassed at how she looks. Dealt with lockout early in flowering and took awhile to get her back on her feet. She’s limping to the finish line for sure. This is only my 3rd go around, so still working through things. That’s why I started with the freebies and am working my way up to the hot stuff lol

Here’s what I see, 10-15%clear 60% milky 20-25% amber. One thing to remember is that when you chop it the plant doesn’t die right away. Those trichs will still continue to ripen over the first 24-48 hours of drying.

Also here are some pics(best I could do with mark up editer lol) of trichs that are fully ripe. Now there are most definitely more of these types. But the angle can make it hard to identify them from a still picture. You can see how the trich head is mushroom like.

so my opinion is chop her!

Now with that being said do NOT be disappointed or discouraged by your first few grows,

I have been growin for 20+ years and I still mess up ALLLLLL the time. Here is an example of me burning up my greenhouse last year. Killed 25 plants,

no one is a perfect grower period. This is always a moving target due to the nature of this whole growing of pot thing. Then I replanted and only got about half the yield I was expecting.

I say all this because showing a picture of your plant is how you are going to get better at growing.

that’s the most beautiful thing about AFN, WE DO NOT JUDGE! No one here will flame you, or bully you sayin “your plant sucks” if they do there are literally hundreds of us old time afners that will step in and put that shite to a quick halt.

If you are reallllly insecure about it you can dm me and I promise you I will only help and uplift you, by focusing on the things you have done right.

already I can tell you’ve done a good job at farming the trichs!

I am pretty sure I remember your first grow(I think I may have helped or at least followed along lol) I will literally put in whatever amount of time is necessary to help a newer grower out. Why? Because I LOVE GROWING AUTOS!!!!!!! And I think everyone who grows any kind of plants should grow em. If you are dedicated I will help(and so will many many many others here)

This is a safe space I promise! You’ve been around a little bit, you should know that we ain’t Trippin over here : )

One last note, I GUARANTEE your plant is not as bad as you think. We are our own worst critics 99% of the time.
