Ya. I've loaded the coffee in like mad. Worms never skipped a beat. Had an old outside bin. I would get grounds from a coffee house by the 10# bag. Had thousands of red worms in there
Yeah, they WILL thrive.

But I collect the castings and media to use to grow canna and other things. It's not too acidic, just more than I want to use. I do have a BUNCH of grounds. I have a pallet on one side of my shop that's stacked with coffee 'cans'.
That being said, as soon as the damn ground dries out a bit, I'll use a bunch of those grounds with other things to get the neighbor's canna spot ready for spring planting.

I recall hearing to stay away from egg shells & meat or something like that?
Egg shells are fine but u have to separate the membrane from inside the shell! Gotta get it all then rinse em again and put thru a coffee grinder to make dust! They need it to help digest their food or u can add rock dust when u feed them!

Once the worms don't heir thing the acid is neutral

Sometimes I grind them as you say sometimes I just crumble them up. I know that there are no bits or pieces of eggshell in the castings.
BTW. Worms do not like living in castings. Have to remove castings from bottom of bin from time to time add new media (I use my coco mix).
Pull the vegetables and paper and cardboard off as a layer. Remove any dirt/coco/peat or whatever. Remove castings. Add new media then the dirt layer you removed then the vegetables etc. Add new food stuff. Don't forget to hydrate.

Scott Ostrander is the owner/president of the company that makes Nectar for the Gods. He is a great person who spends literally all day helping customers get the best out of his products. I’m talking super responsive, individualized, and detailed customer service. If have any questions when using his products he will get back to you within 24 hours and help you until you figure it out. And it’s kind of complex stuff.

I forgot to mention! The Nectar for the Gods sample pack is full size quart bottles!

I feel like I sound like a shill for them, but my experience using the products has just been that good.
Do you know if the nectar line can be used in an auto pot system or floraflex? I am currently looking into and pricing out autopots vs floraflex. I need some automation in my life, feels like I have no free time :smoking:

That would be a no unfortunately cuz it’s not ph stable! Once ph is adjusted etc quite positive it doesn’t stay at that level once it sits so ph would fluctuate inside your reservoir! I have similar issues using earthbox cuz can’t sit inside the reservoir!
