Ooooh very nice. Sounds great. I unfortunately can't give you any insight on the dark period but seems ones who do it like it? I just run perpetual and don't do it. Whose the sour d auto by and how's that smell compared to photo period sour d? I've been wanting a good sour d auto

It's by ILGM. Even though it's not roc gear. Still posted a pic. She's too pretty not too.and i have not grown a regular Sour D to compare. Just smoked what I had been told is Sour D prior. This auto is smelling like a proper sour diesel though. What I expected. First plant I grew exhibited much different traits, much more stretch and long kind of airy buds. Much darker complexion of leaves and flowers. Was just missing something though for me to call it a proper representation of Sour D. This one stayed very small, but very heavy dense buds that actually finished with a purple hue to them. Can't wait to try.

Auto mix is next up when the Sour D comes down, because I'm too curious to not know what fire awaits. Love variety. Then magic ✨ cookies ! Now awaiting my grape dosi breath I just ordered! I think I'm developing an @Builder0101 issue with hoarding seeds. Lol.

Sweet and chem are what I pick up the most followed by a hint of DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN! :yoinks:

Although in fairness I'll get a better idea after tomorrow when I chop down her tent mate which is Sour D auto! She's finishing and will be chopped tomorrow or Friday as I have been flushing for 2 weeks. Has plenty of stank to interfere with my senses on the purple scoops. All I know is I smell a bud up close and my mouth starts to water!

On a side tangent. What are the benefits of a "dark period" to finish the plant? This is new to me and I have never done this. Interested to hear people's viewpoints.
Bro-Science! Kinda like flushing, but probably not near as controversial as flushing.
I water on the last half of the last light cycle before chop and chop when lights come on at the beginning of the next cycle. I do that to have the girl fully hydrated to maybe get a longer dry. That's Bro-Science too, but at least it seems to be based in logic.

We can come up with some 'stuff' about growing canna when high on canna.
Ever since I was a kid, things had to be proven to me. It pissed off my Dad when I was little. I find a scientific study on canna proving something, I eat that up!

Higher THC levels. 48 hours is the sweet spot, after that it begins to decline. 24 hours is fine too, but lab tests show it still increases further between 24-48.

Any studies support that? I could see that increased THC levels could be a result of some sort of hormonal response to procreate due to the stressor of no light, but that's purely an assumption.

I'm sure there are studies, but it's easier to find lab tests with the results these days.
