I started to catch the bug but once I realized it would cost another 30 k just to be competitive it soon passed. Now its mostly factory built stuff and 1/4 mil for a rig.

Same for me with my Mustang. To be compeditive, I had to have a cage upgrade, new fuel and fuel system and a bunch of more SFI approve parts

Glamis has gone crazy too! Something to behold!

The dunes of glamis were always on our minds in the 70's when drag racing, motorcross, hill climbing was our weekend sport. Our alternative here in the southeast usa is the TVA powerline routes through tennessee, mississippi, alabama where hills went for miles and miles.
I was always game for a trip to glamis but finding a few friends with the same wild hair...well, you know.
