RocBud Rocbudinc Genetics

Its where the money is right now! The hype is mostly on IG and grows from there. I’m sure it has made more than a few pollen chuckers filthy rich. May not be good long term but how long is that? We don’t actually live too long lol. I am just amazed with all the creativity and hype strategies. I truly appreciate it as I was a marketing dude in the past. I find myself in awe many a times lol.

it’s not gonna change anytime soon unless political intervention occurs, which should be only a small possibility. So, imho this is just beginning. We may not live long enough to see the end of this trend. So if anyone of us are in the same shoes, I’m betting we’d do the same and milk it as much as we can. It’s getting cutthroat out there as more and more peeps are working the formula. It’s still relatively easy to pull off if you’re growing legally. But increased competition will change this and I’m looking forward to what they’ll come up with next?

As a non experienced grower, my personal take on this is its 98% hype. Most if not all the hyped up strains still sees a huge pheno variation despite the breeder claims. We see it all the time, especially for journal lurkers like myself. One or two journal that “reports” stable genetics vs dozens who reports otherwise are very common. Too common really. This leads me to believe that it’s a standard operating procedure to make these breeding claims. I may do zero pheno hunt and just chuck pollen everywhere. But if I am a decent grower that can take some good pics and tell a good story, I’m suddenly making a buttload of cash and have people forcing me to take their money! Others start to notice this and we are where we are now.

It’s impossible to think they aren’t any good ones out there. There must be! However, their numbers must be getting lesser and lesser, being discouraged by what they see? It must be difficult to hold on to your principles when you see scumbags getting rich and being worshipped, when you can’t even reach 10% of their followers. :baked: :baked: :crying: :crying:
Yeah, I'm pretty much on the same track of though as you. There are still some quite large shadowland markets out there and hopefully those will open up sometime soon. I'm in one and I'm sure as hell hoping it does here! If it does and I'm still able, I'll build a grow room in one of the corners of my large metal building shop..........I may do it anyway. I'm sure I can grasp and master the breeding concept. I'm just not sure I want to deal with the public again. LOL!
Yeah, it's not too much to ask for stability in a new cross or strain. As complicated and varied as canna is, if you don't run large numbers to make sure it's reliable prior to release, you're doing a disservice to your customers.
Hence the term Boutique Breeder I guess.

Never fail to amaze me with your abilities bro! I'm looking forward with anticipation!

Imho it's hard to find something absolutely that you can't live without and that's mostly bc of breeders not continuing to make selections up to f9 like in many other plants so stability is compromised now image how many times all these strains have been through that or less it's wat started my own breeding searching for better more stable genetics I've grown well over 200 different strains and some many times ect back in the day and now and I can count on 2 hands how many where true unicorn type that's it lots have been good and or slightly above average but not man I'm growing this everytime kinda stuff so the real problem is no 1 wants to really work only 6 strains say or wat ever size area will accommodate the amount you want. This is why back in the day early 90s there were strains that were worked 20+yrs ect that are now gone bc the hype of purple kush, og kush ect bc of rap and many other influences, anyways love wat I've seen from rocbud but just like mephisto was and probably still is more trouble than it's worth hopefully that changes.

Look in not sure if your taking some kind of shot at @RocBudInc but I think the man is doing great work.
Do I wish I had gotten any of the new releases yes. Sorry for venting my frustration here.
What who where is Bobby's Widow
I was just thinking that!
Where can I find it?

Please good people, I just want to say I still love @RocBudInc gear I have nothing but love and respect for the man.

If I ever manage to get some of the new strains I'll gladly grow them.

I also wish he would leave the strain descriptions up somewhere.

I'm growing the last of my ungrown strains from Roc.

I hope you all have great grows with the new strains and I'll look forward to your logs.

Peace and stay safe everyone.

I was not. Me and Wildbill was talking bout IG and I was giving my thoughts. Felt it was quite clear. I love the dude and had made it very clear I have no beef. Your posts actually sounds like you have a bigger issue than mine. I also mentioned here that he messaged me to apologize. Me! An insignificant grower in a random part of the world! There is absolutely no need to even remember my existence but he apologized. Why in the world would I take a shot at someone like that? In fact, it made me wanna buy his gear more. I even remember trying to make you feel better when you didn't get the Grape Mints. Now why would you think that of me? I wonder?

Just too bad i got too many beans now. The crosses are getting crazier each drop. Seems like waiting isn't even such a bad thing? I took your advice in the past. Just figured I'd chime in to help u feel better. Sorry if it annoyed you instead. Have a great day!
