What light schedule do you have your Slurri on?
18/6 same as I’ve always run em! I cleaned out 2x4 and moved auto mix girl over for now and if we don’t have clear autoing happening by time I chop her I’ll have a spare tent to run 12/12! Don’t have the whispy pistol hairs yet but looks like I see some female calyces forming so hopefully know in next couple days! :oops1:
Day 66 today and getting close!

I might be paranoid but I'm worried the grape slurri isn't fully auto or the F4s haven't been tested.

When crossing a photo to an auto I've always thought It took 4 generations to lock down the auto trait. Were these F4s we received created from F3s and untested just assumed they were fully auto? What's the story here...

Was this generation tested to be 100% fully auto ? It worries me because rocbud mentions having Slurricane autos and Slurricane fast photos... What are the chances these things aren't even fully stable autos? Also, where are the pictures of the flowering Slurricane auto?

Each of those was a different project. One moved forward with auto in mind and one with photo in mind. All rocs autos r stable. Haven’t seen one person with one that didn’t auto that’s not just here either but also insta where he has a large following

You only need to take the cross to f3 to make it full auto.

That's good to hear! I guess we will find out in a few weeks time!

Gotcha. I figured as a breeder you would grow out those F4 to make sure everything is stable and in fact fully auto.
So you're saying the f3 generation should be fully auto? I always thought that the 4th generation was when it was 100% locked In.

After doing more reading it seems were both right.

"In real world growers usually do at least 5 to 8 generations to completely lock in those autoflowering genetics and because we need not just that autoflowering trait but also a great yield and other desired genetic variations then that process becomes much more difficult and time consuming.

Theoretically you can get a new, fully autoflowering, strain with as low as 3 or 4 generations but usually you will need to do at least 5 to 7 generations to stabilize those genetics and that is why in the recent years there have been multiple autoflower strains that have flooded the market and that were not yet stable and produced a wide variety of phenotypes."

Just wish we could get ahold of the breeder to get a better idea of what exactly he did.

Pretty sure he does. Stress test and everything make sure we all get 100% fire every bean. He only sells the seeds from 1-2 maybe 3 females out of a group of 25+. Small batch only the best is used. Every single bean I’ve planted minus one or two that didnt come up has been a good producing plant and always fire.

From what I’ve seen the folks who r blessed with that breeding touch get it done by f4. Ive grown probably 20-30 From roc over the past year and half maybe 2 idk it’s been a minute. They’re stable, at most you’ll see three phenos in a strain but still not night and day from each other. Night owl and mephisto release f4-5 also and get it done.
