I probably mentioned this in a previous post, but I decided to pop some almost 10 year old seeds, and they did! Out of 7, 6 germinated. Very strong and healthy too. Out of those I got 3 males and 3 females, and I am loving the boys! (Didn't even take a pic of the ladies) :smoking:
They stink, one is so vigorous he's outgrown all of them including the girls, and he has a lovely purple to him.
Worth breeding with? I don't know, I haven't the experience yet, but it's a good enough start.
The two other males, I kept because one I named Dr. Seuss as he has those whorled leaves, and the other is showing some mutation in his leaves too. Also, they are both growing three nodes at about the same point (growth after is back to two, but it's a free topping that could be passed to their progeny).
While I was removing some lower branches and foliage on both the males and the females, the smell was almost making my eyes tear up.
So here is Sensi Seeds Afghan Kush, ten years later...
Look at him go in the solo cup, he shows no signs of stress or slowing down (He's in a 1/2 gal pot now, all of them are). He was topped as I made the assumption he was female early on due to the smell and trichome development before showing sex.

Purple, stinky and sticky, he's known only as AK [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] (2nd sprout to pop up, 1st is a choice looking female that will undoubtedly bear his offspring)

Tri-nodal! This is Dr. Seuss and he's weird and wonderful :smoking:
@Waira check out what this dude is doing now!
I *believe* this is a polyploid (Whorled Phyllotaxy)?, the mild fasciation makes me lean to this, what that means as far as genetics is concerned, is beyond my understanding at this point, all of this is. But this could be interesting to pursue, although I surmise if this was something that was desired, it would already be in some genetics I am sure. Other than fasciated bud creeps me out..
