Lighting Ripster's home thread

I thought about a mother and putting some auto's in with her...That's a good idea riz...:bong:

i know what ye mean mate, i had to get a 120x120x180 tent for my loft coz i couldn't fit my 120x120x200 in it, when i moved to this house i asked the guys their opinion on whether i should grow in the loft or the garage and the conclusion was i'd start in the loft and end up with both going and lmao, i have both tents going now :D i got 4 photo mothers i'm gonna grow to do a big batch of clones from and was thinking about some poppies in beside some auto's and the mothers.

Thats a great tent size. I have it too, hehe. I know.. I ended up with two tents also. But one landed in my living room :S I sure love cannabis!

SCHWEEEEEEEEEET bro!!! I can't wait to see what you can do in there :toke:

I musta got the old dr120 then coz you've got cooltube vents and mines doesn't. lovely looking tent though. What do ye think of the covering and the zips? I don't really like the zips and i can't work out what the covering is supposed to be made of.

Well mine is the dr150 II so that may be it, plus mine is the upgraded II one as far as the zippers, light proofing and strength I think...

It all seems good to me so far, but I still haven't thrown the light at it yet  Also, since this is the only tent I've ever owned, I really can't say or compare it to anything...I believe it will be nice...As far as the covering, do you mean the water proof floor mat? It's ok. Needs some stiffer sides for support, but it'll work. I do soil not hydro, so I really shouldn't have any problems there...

Thanks for the comments. Always welcome and encouraged :booya:

I've got 2, one budbox xl which is 120x120x200 and a ds120 which is 120x120x180.

The budbox is my favourite as the material is normal on the outside, kinda canvas like, folds as you would expect. it has all the vents you could think of plus extras. The material inside is pure white, dead easy to clean and know it's clean. Has 2 doors, so a zip down the middle when zipped up is up at the top so dead easy to walk up and pull down a little for a peak in.

The ds120 has a kinda plastic coating that is slightly rippled, just doesn't look nice, it has a hardness to it thats awkward to fold. I have the old version so only an opening on one side about 24" by 12" with a mesh and a velcro cover if ye want to close it, it has one 12 inch intake for ducting if ye use it but no cable entry. Up top there is a 12" whole in ceiling for extraction and a cable entry near top on a side and thats it. The door is a single door going at a curve from the top to bottom meaning that you have to open it 1/2 way to peak in. When opening the zip you have to pull the zip sideways from the top left to right meaning the whole tent sways unless you have it against a wall on or use a hand to steady it. Bugs the tips out of me that i can't come out the tent with something in my hand, always gotta put it down to do the tent up.

I don't put faith in the floors being waterproof, haven't tested it yet but don't wanna deal with the fallout should they not be waterproof. I have 3 trays that are 120x40x7 so can fit 3 trays in a tent base. Looking for a tray thats 120 square but cheapest is like 50 quid.
