Walked into a little dive in my home town about 40 years ago. Guess who's sitting at the bar? Willie! One of the nicest guys I've ever met. And he smoked weed even back then....I think they carried out everyone in the bar at closing............
If I had been there I'd be one they be carrying out for sure .

On the other hand maybe I don't need 4 ?? Just thinking outloud . :eyebrows:

I think I could use six of them. But I'm not sure. Old house, old wiring. I know it will support my hps at 750w continously, but how that compares I have no idea. Sure would be nice to have a larger footprint in the 5x10.

I just bought two of the almost done Autocobs. With the discount it's like almost free shipping. Now I have to get a driver. Fun stuff!!
The driver is a HBG -60-1400 . But check before you buy I could be wrong . :toke:

Any idea what the price is on the driver for those Willie?

There are cheaper versions but a meanwell hlg-120-1050 will last 20 years and will run 2 cobs. I run meanwell in the autocob and have dissected every inch of multiple drivers checking them out further. I am impressed with their quality.

Now I bought a cheap light about a year ago just to open that up and see what it was about. eBay 60w for like 35 bucks. The driver was shoved in the frame and was wrapped in heatshrink tubing lol. That's a mini bic too. I wonder if they heated it up before inserting it into the light or to save time they shove it in cold and let it heat itself up.

Good grief

The hps draws around 6amps. The autocob draws .48 amps granted you would need more than one. It's also never good to max out your breakers but a standard 15amp breaker would hold 30 .48 amp lights.
