@green genes what are your solids. I don't do hydro but my fish tanks get outa control sometimes and it's all about buffering. If you don't have that right you can chase pH all day long. With my fishy water it's all about alkalinity and alkaline hardness etc. Once I got that settled my pH was a lot easier. Sorry to say I cannot relate it better to your hydro issue, but thought it might be helpful.

very low solids right now. it's seedling water, measures 300 PPM at 6.whatever pH, and 250 at low pH.
