I'm on my second grow only grew white widow max auto got about 50 grams off of it. I think I harvested a little early and it started flowering late. Can't seem to really get the smell and taste out of it I harvested it about 10 days ago

Put it in glass jars man, let it sit for a month. It will taste better.

As far as too early, are you choosing harvest time by time grown, or by trichome color, or leaf color?

If the answer is by time grown, don't. Go by trichome color or when the leaves start to die back.

Yeah I was going by trichrome color but I was trying to get my other plant under the light and I didnt know when to exactly cut the nutes so I just flushed a couple days and harvested. There were a few Amber but not many

That sounds about right. There is an ongoing dispute about whether the end of life flushing is valuable or not. Personally, I have science that proves to me that it is a waste of time. It just makes life complicated when growing several plants, especially in DWC.

I'm growing in soil and none of the leave were really dying off yet. My second grow is looking a lot better at day 40 than my first at day 40 tho check it out first pic is my first grow and the second pic is my second grow

Very nice. That's progress. You have a better even canopy, better photo skills. Both of them look pretty healthy too.

What variety is that second one? it's short for being in flower. What lights are you using?

Its the same auto white widow max. And I'm using a meihzi 300w led reflector and some CFLs. I topped some random tops early on in my second grow which was a mistake probably I left the main top alone of my second grow and I topped the main top on my first

I have a few WW beans. I have not grown her yet. Ususally topping one or two tops will not hurt too bad as far as yield. It depends on what stage of growth though. If you topped them before flower started they should recover by stretching out the lower branches and give more but smaller tops.

I have accidntally broken off whole branches and they recover well. I even split one right down the middle of the stalk by accident trying to 'mainline' train it, and she did fine too.
