Everyone, I'm going to be working on my truffle tek today for anyone interested. It uses finch bird feed from lowes, did enough pint jars and a pressure cooker. Everything together costs about 100 use including the syringe of spores. The two should work for bulk spawn too of any strain since its millet and that's about it.
I think @1939bear was one I talked to before about it. Who am I missing? And who wants to get in on the action? I am looking to have the photos done and posted as I got but will do the full wrote up while I'm pressure cooking.
Truffles? Have I missed out on something here? Culinary or recreational? Dont care I am in on either one.

Doing the write up now. I made the jars a bit too wet, didn't dry the seed well enough but there's a fix for that. Two ways it can be done. Either let the jars colonize about 50% then flip upside down, or leave them in a warm dry place for a few days. I prefer to do the flip as it gives the myco some needed hydration midway through the grow.

So I'm pressure cooking (pc) them now and should have more photos in an hour or so, but here's a teaser for you girls and guys. Photo quality isn't the beat because i had to so it fast before I have to do my errands.

Recreational, as in magic mushroom scolertia. Its a little known type of mushie. You just inoculate a bulk substrate and let them go in a dark warm place for 2-3 months. So I am going to be doing a round of these every time I start a new plant. So I can have some fun trimming instead of just being bored and wanting to fall asleep trimming

Depends on the strain. I actually tried juicing the leaves of one of my plants and I actually got some, medical effects from it. Almost felt like I took two alieve.
Btw everyone other names for truffles are scolertia, magic stones, philosophers stones, magic knots, magic nuts, mushroom balls, and mushroom stones to name a few

I add a few fans and a few popcorn buds to my blender with my green smoothie every morning. I can't take any type of pharma NSAID's (over the counter or otherwise) due to kidney problems. If I understand what I read correctly, THCa acts as a very good anti-inflammatory. I can certainly tell a difference in my pain levels, as well as joint swelling and joint stiffness (including my spine) have diminished since I started doing this a few months ago.

Question....is there a difference between regular mushrooms, and the truffles...when it comes to effects?

Thc-a is a very good anti-inflammatory and is great for those with renal failure or insufficencies.
The truffles are pretty much exactly the same. In my opinion depending on the dose, the harvest time and your ambient temperature you can grow to get the same effects as cubenisis mushrokms, I tend to find them a bit more clear headed and giggly than others. But also can be more visual. They tend to be a bit more forgiving because usually people who consume the truffles are taking them fresh so they start low and work up. Plus there's no fruiting required! The ultimate in stealth.
