This is our Oasis weather permitting
We got dogwoods, red buds, Hollies, honeysuckles, rose bushes, daffodils, and boysenberries it's about to get REAL fragrant soon!! And the wild ramps are just popping out finally!

Jeez!! Outdoor growers dream soil right there!! Proper PH, solid drainage, decent nutrients, and a rich black colour you know is gonna grow monsters!!

Oh yeah... Under all that leaf compost is nice moss... I've always been told moss is an indicator of good soil... Is that true? Aw hell.. if it's that great here I may take a stab at an OD plant or two!

What are your greatest struggles with outdoor reb? Deer and bugs?

Not sure about the moss...never heard that before....but rotting leaves make amazing dirt. Every few years i will throw in a wheelbarrow load on the partial sun garden plants

Omg yes Deer... We have literally RESIDENT does that never leave our acres... 5 of them. Bugs galore. Mostly grasshoppers. I tried growing Kale last year and they destroyed them. Ever with DE!

Rabbits don't come here... The cats keep em away.
