Ready to pull the trigger on my soil mix...advice/recommendations?

Ok awesome. I'll look in to another source for aeration. I'm sure I can find some course sand, vermiculite, etc to serve the purpose. Any other ideas/suggestions from the crew?

I just had a grow go south due to the pearlite. It was the second time it happened to me. Just figured out what was causing my plants to burn. Did not relies this would mess my soil up.

I also am going to experiment with the layering on my autos. Will take a few grows but should be easy to get down. I always start to run out of nitrogen about week 2 and calcium about week 3 cuz I use bottled water. I don't know after that cuz I always feed so it will be a learning experience. I think the trick will be getting the correct size pot for the layering to work proper.
