I'm in the same boat. My first grow and although it seems easy to say "flush when 10% of the trichomes are amber", My binary mind is having difficulty distinguishing between clear and opaque. Examples of pictures of plants taken today. My next post will show random trichomes. Any advice would help.

close, Id say week or less. the trichs should start turning noticeably amber real soon.

jus keep in mind that some strainz never turn amber and no, u'll never know which strain, until...it duzn't turn amber jus sayin...:smoking: ppp

Tric color is typically my final check for harvest, but there's a couple more indicators you can check if you're needing to feel her up....I like looking "under her dress"...checking calyx at the base of nodes which change in last few days...white hairs turn and leaves are drained of most color...
Muddy has a good article somewhere on AFN giving some ideas on harvest signs.

What strain is that? Alot of white hairs there that still hasnt turned and started to recede. I would say 2- 3 weeks left or you'll miss out on some swelling unless this strain is known for long white hairs? Which parts of the plant did you check the trichomes?

The trichomes are from an upper cola. The strain is Sour Stomper. Two more from today.

From the look of the trichomes I am waiting a little while longer. I want to see a few ambers but that is just how I like mine.

Think i harvested mine 13days after i posted the picture, N they cameout sick! Heavyheavy indica. I even topped it at 3-4weeks old ^^
