Hey guys, i am going to document this grow, first time growing ONXY, This is my 4 x2 x5 tent (my smaller one) Running two 240 watt black star LED's. Using the stacking method with a 20oz cups (jiffy seedling soil) in 3gallon smart pots (FD's Soil Mix). 7 pots total.

Here is a pic of the water Res bubbling PH Balanced Well Water, and some of the tent

My soil mix is the same that Full duplex uses, i had to double everything due to the 3 gallon pots
25lb bag of black kow compo soil
18Qt Bag perlite
3 cups of Blood and bone Meal
1.5 cups of powdered oyster shells
1.5 Cups of Epsom salt
1/2 cup of sea weed kelp
1 cup of powdered baby cereal

Nutes when needed
Fox farm Trio

Standard 4 inch inline fan with carbon filter in there

Thanks TshirtNinja for advice on LED's, Full Duplex using your soil mix

Let hope this ends up being a good yeild and i don't kill them all haha :smoke:

Seeds still germing.

Good luck with your grow, I'm subbed. Onyx is a nice plant and a good producer. Good choice.

Keep us posted....can compare to see how mine are doing...just sprouted 2 of'em....

Looking forward to updates. :pop: Good luck!

Ok guys, its been alittle over 48 hours on germing 7 onyx seeds and only 3 have popped, I put all 7 on a paper towel used room temp water and put the paper towel on a small plate and sealed it up in a clear sandwhich bag and stuck in a dark place. Any suggestions on how i can get the others to germ? seems like a really low germ rate to me

if they wont germ i somtimes crack them real carefull with my finger nail but i would wate another 24 hours first some are a lil slower out than others

A small update, I planted 5 of the 7 i had germing, 2 are still germing will give them a bit more to see if they crack. one of the first 5 i put in just broke the surface :booya:

Thanks for the Tip bro, i did just that on my last 2, i gently applied pressure to the seem on the seed and it opened just a tad, its like it broke the "seal" lose, a few hours later i could see the tap root coming through, tomorrow my last 2 seeds should be ready to hit the soil
