I'm running the light @ 18inch now. I can raise the light to 24inch

More light equals more DLI. So either turn up the light, raise the plants, or lower the light. Lots of info on this site

I'm a new grower as well. I have 2 Acapulco Gold autos. They are in week 7 and the growth between them looks very different. One is tall and one is short. Both were planned at the same time. The tall one is showing bud sites and the short one is not. Any help understanding this would be greatly appreciated.

7 weeks from...breaking soil, when they started to flower (auto), when you flipped the light schedule (photo), or ?

If they're healthy they should just continue developing and fatten up...have fun for the next ~7-10 weeks until harvest.
