Grow Mediums Question re: using autopots with gh nutrients

Interesting, I've been under the impression that a dehumidifier was beneficial , as I regularly was running with high humidity (around 60+ % on this attempt due to summer temps being higger). I'm absolutely going to google what you've mentioned.

Also thanks for the info regarding your hands on experience with autopots. Do you think I'd be far better off with the smaller pots you've mentioned, or are the 15 L's more ideal for a smaller tent like mine ?

I was sometimes getting 7+ft tall plants in hydro, and wanted smaller plants, so I went with the 15 L version.
This was my first try with the Autopots, and I severely nute and light burned the plants.
They still yielded about 6 oz dry of some excellent stuff in a 2 x 4 tent.
I'm using the Easy2Grow system that has one tray for 2 pots.
At this point I'm happy to be using the smaller pots.
I expect bigger harvests in the future now that I've learned a few things about autopots.

Oops, for got to mention. Make sure that your coco is buffered. If it is not, you can do it easily with some cal mag, but if you grow without buffering, you will run into problems that will be hard to catch up with. :goodluck:

4 plants in autopots in a 3x3 will be pretty tight if grown correctly. You could- grow 4 and cull one or two as your grow progresses.
I second to get the calmag and buffer the coco with it. Do a search here on how to buffer if you don't know the process.

It's amazing how forgiving they can be. I also severely light burned my current grow, I ended up getting a cheap luxe meter and I cant believe how high I had my quantum dim switch set.

For seedlings now I literally have to hide them in some shade , on the lowest dim setting possible, in order to stay under the recommened 10 k luxe I've read about.

Thanks for the advice, I do have calmag and will look into buffering. I'm under the impression the canna coco I'm using is pre buffered, but I will look into doing it myself

I have a 5 x 5 tent and I can get six in there. It can get crowded tho. I am using all Samsung LM301B and H. I can not believe all of the cal/mg I use. FOR ME these lights are great and are cal/mg hogs. Good happy growing and welcome aboard.
