Hi Guys,

I'm a long time lurker here. I've started growing autos indoors during the last year. After going through tons of threads here and on reddit I have decided to try my luck with autopots.

I have recently stocked up on my gh trio nutes, including some other add ons included in the gh schedule, but I've always had issues with their schedule, as I am in a coco perlite mix and their scheudle is geared towards soil.

I'd like to try to use up the nutes I have, but my reading here points towards easier nute solutions. Is anyone using the gh nutes with coco and auto pots? I'd love to pick your brain if so.

Here is some basic info about my grow environment

-3x3 tent
-240 w quantum board
-2 x 6" clip fans
-cloudline 6 with carbon filter
-small dehumidifier
I have also recently purchased a 4 pot, 3.9 gal autopot system, however I am not confident that putting all 4 pots in my 3x3 is ideal based on this site's advice

Please feel free to comment or reach out with any comments and or thoughts on my plan. Thank you all!!

I have used gh, coco and perlite, and autopots. You can check out my signature.

GH is General Hydroponics, so their stuff is fine for hydro.
I'd use whatever nutes you have on hand.
All fertilizers are very similar, and it doesn't really matter what water soluble fertilizer you use.

I'm testing a 2-plant autopot Easy2Grow system with 2.2 gallon pots in a 2 x 4 tent, and the canopy fills with 2 plants.
I've grown 4 plants in a 3 x 3 and it was an uncontrollable jungle in hydro.

Google Vapor Pressure Deficit, and you might change your mind about using a dehumidifier.

GH will work fine, but you will want to have cal mag on hand even if you don’t start with it. I suggest no more than three plants in your 3x3. Two would be better if they are larger strains. Even smaller strains will be tight With 3 plants. If you want to do 4 with autopots, I think you need a 4x4 or 5x5 tent, preferably with some height.

good luck with your grow. :pighug:

Thanks alot for the info. I've already checked some of your posts out and can see you know what's up!

The great debate in my mind is going to be going with 2 or 3 in my 3x3. Would you consider most mephisto autos as smaller strains?

My mind is telling me 2 , but my body is telling me 3 lol

Interesting, I've been under the impression that a dehumidifier was beneficial , as I regularly was running with high humidity (around 60+ % on this attempt due to summer temps being higger). I'm absolutely going to google what you've mentioned.

Also thanks for the info regarding your hands on experience with autopots. Do you think I'd be far better off with the smaller pots you've mentioned, or are the 15 L's more ideal for a smaller tent like mine ?

Mephisto strains vary a lot. I think you could get away with three 24 Carat Plants, but not with Cosmic Queens. 24C is one of their smallest strains, CQ about medium. I would say managing your plants will be easier with only 2 plants unless you stick to known small strains.

OTOH, if you really can’t help yourself, just plan on being brutal with the clippers when the tent gets plugged. Sometimes a guy just has to have that extra strain included in a grow. At some point, I may do a bunch of strains in small pots in an autovalve supplied tray. But in your full sized pots, your plants will get BIIIG.

Also, fair warning, keep your humidity under control and your canopy open during flowering, Mephisto strains grow large dense buds, and they are subject to mold if you let things stay too wet. I use vpd tables, and shoot for the dry side of ideal flowering range.

Good luck with the grow, a let us know how it goes. :pighug:

Awesome, thanks for the insight. I'll make sure to share some pics, even if things go south again! It's the best way to learn imo.

I did run into a very small amount of mould on my current grow that resulted in me pulling them all immediately. Luckily I didnt lise more than 2 grams from what I can tell it was a ghost tooth too , absolutely massive top bud by my standards!

I lost ~1/3 of my outdoor bud to mold last summer. Damn near put me off outdoor altogether. Damn near but perhaps not quite. If I get serious outside again, I will use RotBlock. Outside, it is impossible to control humidity, and it is too bloody humid here for a lot of the summer.
