Indoor Qbgrowers perpetual grow in a 4x4 with 480w of Quantum Boards

Good evening folks! I've been away for awhile.

I'm looking to get the tents back up and running some time in the next month.

Will be reducing the plant count to 2 per tent so 4 in all. Thinking about trying some different dry amendments again - one for veg and one for flower.

I have a couple of @Antonio_DutchPassion seeds to do and thinking about doing a Zoap which leaves one space. Anyone have any recommendations?

Good to be back

Glad you're feeling better mate.

And it's great to be back.

I'm in Amsterdam again in a few days so might see if I can buy a pack of seeds to fill the last the space. Maybe a Lemon Bubble from Phenofinders? Or something unusual from a seedbank.

I just found the solitary feminised silver bubble seed I have! I've been looking for it for a while!

Need to tidy up the house then, I can get to sprouting. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

Any tips on sprouting a seed thats not been kept in optimum conditions @Antonio_DutchPassion @St. Tom

Bro I have mine just in drawers and boxes and I've never kept a single seed in the fridge and some of mine are 6 years old and it's very rare for them not to all germinate. I start all mine in root riots in a small tub I think it maybe a yogurt tub and I just keep them them on my iptv box still a sprout pops up.

Thanks mate. Fingers crossed.

I love Silver Bubble. I'll take cuttings and hopefully keep a mother.

Hows your Saturday going?

Not bad thanks and that what your saying sounds a good idea I'm running photos in the 4x4 and 2 autos in the smaller tent. Also I hope all is good with you too bro

My favorite method : https://dutch-passion.blog/cotton-pad-germination-method/

The most common/natural one :

Old beans may take a little longer to crack, but be gentle and patient.

Nice to hear you are back mate :d5: planning to pop some beans again? What will be the setup and strains you are going to grow?

Cheerio

What are the genetics? I like the name Silver Bubble! For germination i would try rolling up a sandpaper in a tube about 3” long and about as wide as a pen and cap both ends with your index finger and thumb with the seed inside and shake for 10-15seconds , that should allow better water penetration for older seeds. You could try soaking it for a few hrs but not all genetics like that, and give it the basics wet not too wet, used distilled water, slightly warm 75-80degrees is good over85 will kill it, and a nice dark enclosed environment that will keep the humidity in. Some people use the paper towel method which has always worked for me, but i find there is alot of room for error when moving the seed to soil as the tap root can become damaged, so i use Root Riot Plugs as they are the best quality organic plug i have found, and i use a small humidity dome with a small led in it for warmth. I find the plugs hold moisture for longer and because the seed is inside the plug it never gets moved around so is safer to transplant. I also use a pinch of GreatWhite mycos/beneficial bacteria when germinating and i tear the plugs down the side so i can check on the seeds if they are taking long. If i have correct environmental conditions(temps and RH) i will see sprouts in 2-3days! Where with the paper towel i would usually see the tap pop out in 1-3 days then transplant it and wait another 3-4 to see it sprout. So a total of almost a week, i really believe the plugs speed up the whole process because there is no damage to the roots during transplant.
