Hello growfriends I’d like to ask aprox what age do you guys prune the bottom section of your plants? Most pics I see here of all of your gorgeous plants have the entire bottom 30% or so trimmed. Mine are 32 and 39 days old and I’ve removed some low branches that I can tell won’t make the cut, should I just prune everything on the colas that are first and second growth from the bottom? If so I’d imagine it’s a slow and patient process to avoid stress?

It's really plant dependant for me. If there are a few spindly sucker shoots I'll trim them off. Same with fan leaves that are either touching the pot, soil, or other leaves creating wet spots. I try to just do a couple at a time. Low stress is a good reason but I do it slow so I don't get carried away making it "perfect."

Shouldn't need much if any for autos. Clearing out around the base of the stalk for air circulation isn't a bad approach either.

As soon as I get a mature 5th node, I remove all the popcorn producing growth the under 4th node and begin training.
Auto Blue Amnesia.

Is your plant an auto or a photo?
Outside or inside? Do you have a photo of it?

I'm pro pruning and trimming, lst manifolding, super cropping, scrog net and so on.
I don't grow any plants without some type of pruning or manipulation or any combination.
Stress is known to activate defense mechanisms of the plant. Defense mechanisms consist of aroma, turp production, producing more Bud sites and energy transfer.

I prune around day 10 and 21 of flower removing all branches thinner than a pencil. I do spread it out to reduce stress. It's usually around 20-30% of the plant but I also remove branches that do not need the canopy as well.

They’re autos indoors. Ive removed a few small shoots and their fans. Just don’t want to mess with them unless it’s helpful and as a first timer I’m a tad paranoid about cutting too much. As they grow and get crowded I’m assuming I’ll be cutting the lower stuff that’s getting blocked out.

Hey they look great man you're doing a really good job. I might pick a few more of those off or do leaf tucking.

I'm sure somebody on here that deals with inside Autos a lot more than I do will come on here and give you some great info. In fact maybe I'll try and call one of them down here right now that I know is a great indoor auto grower.

@St. Tom :headbang: :pass: young grower here needs a little indoor Auto help

Thank you! I’ve met Tom in my new grow journal, I forget I can tag people. Posted the question here because it seems to get more traffic than the journals.
