Indoor Pre-grow Ventilation Questions

Right, I think I've got some new ideas to play around with. Thank you all for your help! I'm going to run what I have right now and upgrade as needed from there. I think I'll vent into the other room though according to my actual original plan. As far as a bigger fan, its not going to happen outside of my cabinet lol. I might have to compromise an inch or two inside to allow a bigger fan when it comes time to upgrade from the current one.

The only way I could put a larger fan outside would be to duct it 6 feet long running over the ceiling and dumping into a vent at the room entryway (with the fan in the ceiling). Still not a bad option, but I think I'd rather have permanent ducting in place and be able to swap out the fans inside my cabinet than have a fan inside my ceiling in a concealed box somewhere.

That one should work fine. Also, if you want the ability to turn the fan down below max speed, which really isn't needed most of the time, then you'll be wanting a "fan speed controller" like this for example www.ebay.com/itm/Blueprint-Fan-Spee...15A-Hydroponic-grow-hvac-inline-/321593787891

Im having to make a fan box to silence my 6" fan. It's loud as shit. Lol
im using plywood and putting acoustic sound studio foam inside it to silence the sound. But you have to make sure that the heat that is put off from your fan gets exhausted just so your fan doesn't cause fire hazard or over heat on you. If you need help designing a box I can show you what I have designed.

It would be a bloody strange design of fan that needed cooling, they are self cooling! :Sharing One:

I've had my first 4 grows with my fan surrounded with old clothes in a cardboard box, I didn't use sound foam as I wanted the fan back unboxed once I got a taller tent.

Awesome bro, I think I'm actually gonna grab that one and send the other one back then, so that I don't have to relocate the exhaust hole in the cabinet. Do it once and forget about it, ya know?

Hey everyone! Thank you all for your help and advise! I finally have my cabinet all finished up. I decided to go with the better fan and also got the fan controller too. I ended up venting to the back adjacent room instead of the floorspace.

Waiting for seeds and bulbs to arrive, and I'm ready to grow!
