PPFD for 24/0 recommendations

I've done some DLI testing with autos, Mandalorin genetics mostly. From what I have seen with our lights (scynce LED) when it comes to DLI autos kind of toss it out the window. It really depends on the blend of genetics. Some of the genes in these plants are set to run 24 hours a day so they will take that depending on spectrum. What the data is pointing to is the intensity matters somewhat 20 hours a day with a 4 hour sunrise(heavy blues) /sunset (heavy reds) seems to be optimal for plant health and yield.

Thank you, that is interesting. What was the DLI delivered at the mentioned parameters and how was it measured?

DLI ranges tested at:
50-55 mol
40-45 mol
25-30 mol
measured with an Apogee MQ-620and MQ-500

So a tunable spectrum with, for example, 80% 5000k and 20% 2700k for sunrise and the reverse for sunset with 40-60 mol?

Yeah that seemed to be optimal but as always strain dependent

About 4000k from about two hours in and two hours before? Bridgelux and cutter have some tunable spectrum strips that could make some nice recipes

So how do you calculate these DLI numbers is your light does not cover 1 sq meter? I have a 130W QB.

This website has a calculator but you NEED a PAR meter for complete accuracy.

Take the PPFD for this light for example. I'll say at 12" there is average of 340~ and put it into the calculator @ 24 hours. You get a DLI of 30.

Online fish stores rent out par meters for around $40

The HLG 135W version of my 130W Niemi light puts out 1400 to the center at 12 inches. I had mine at 12 last grow and it burned the tops.
