Been watching Chasing Life, which is about a gal that gets cancer. It has flared a number of negative emotions in me that are there because I had cancer.

Any ideas about dealing with PTSD? I know pot helps. I suppose the first step would be to stop watching shows like that.

You hit the nail on the head late.... I am a veteran with some accounts of ptsd.... concealing can help if followed through with and is a healthy option... if your like me I hate counseling or anything close to it. I don't always handle things the correct ways. War and military movies or documentaries used to be my favorite shows and movies but now just as you said it triggers my ptsd big time.... I avoid news stories war movies and military shows like the plague.

Healing medicines such as Ayahuasca, Mushrooms and Peyote with the proper (healing) intentions can provide relief even help you overcome PTSD. I can find some articles if you would like involving people who have undergone shamanic healing ceremonies and come out a completely different person! I am a strong advocate of plant medicine and have participated in healing ceremonies myself. Hope you consider this viable option regardless of religious, political or any other belief structure. not viewing this in societies eyes but eyes seeking truth and healing. Much love, can answer questions if need be :bighug:

Pot is also supposed to be good for PTSD.

I grew up in the 60s, I have no qualms with hallucinogens. But as an old guy, I don't want to risk a run in with the law.
But if the possibility arises, I'd give LSD a try.

I stopped watching that TV show, and that helped.

I recommend if you have disposable income taking a trip to Peru and visiting a shaman. Completely legal and you will have a life changing experience. Cheers

One of the beauties of Ayahuasca is that it has a continuing effect that lasts for years. I would recommend it to anyone with PTSD issues (or chronic depression/anxiety). My first ceremonial healing was in Peru, and I can testify that it works. I have since had 3 "top-up" sessions with Ayahuasca.

This magickal plant allows you to peacefully take inventory of your own soul/life and will show you the changes you need to make to overcome your challenges.

I cannot stress enough that anyone trying this healing method should consult an experienced shaman/guide. Best done in small group settings in a natural environment (outdoors under the stars). It should also be noted that one need not ingest enough to hallucinate; a subclinical dose can still open doors and will have continuing effects.

Highly recommend a YouTube vid, "Graham Hancock & the Sacred Vine"

It is not something to get high on; it is medicine for the psyche/soul and should be respected as such.
