Lots of soil helps getting the best out of our plants, so here is the place to show what Autoflowering plants are realy up to when given the chance.

So far I haven't seen any pictures from auto's grown on large quantities of soil while using substantial amounts of high watt hps's.
I would love to see pictures from sog's, individual auto's, and any kind of number of plants inbetween as long as it is beeing grown on lots of soil with lots of watts per square meter.

I know it is not a typical thing to do for auto flower growers, but to those that are about to beat the regular strains in time and weight with their autoflowering plants... well, here is the chance to show that 4/20 proves equally abundend but achieved in a shorter timespan as the "12/12-straight-from-seed-regular-method".

Check the indoor growing forum and you find lots of examples of what you are looking for. But having a large amount of soil, or very high wattage doesn't necessarily make for a big auto. Just yesterday I saw an Mi5 being grown in a 1.7l pot under T5 fluoros. I estimated it's yield will probably be around 4 oz. The plant itself was at least 4 times larger than the pot it was being grown in.

My experience with most auto haters is that no matter what you say, or the examples you show, they won't be convinced. Many don't get it until they try growing some themselves.

Sure sure Muddy, But try imagining how tall that plant would have got when fed similarly but now on 1000 liters of soil and with 1800 watts of hps ? ;)

Eh Muddy, maybe I am just a lousy searcher but so far no any one cubic meter soil indoor grow has come my way yet.

Could there be anyone thread in peticular that you happen to remember by heart?

No guarantee it would be any bigger. Autos are a classic case of size not mattering. Given their short life span a single auto would never have time to create a root system big enough to fill that volume of soil. With autos, especially dwarfs, it's more about not stunting them at any point, maintaining the proper pH, and feeding them smartly. For most, with the exception of supers, a 3 or 5 gallon pot is more than sufficient. Don't forget, with autos you've only got 5-6 weeks to get them as big as you can. After that their vertical growth stops and all their energy goes into producing buds.

cubic meter... that 1x1x1 wtf who in there right mind going to use that much soil for any indoor plant, you could only put 4-6 plants in a room...

Well Cres, Muddy just claimed those pictures to be all over in the indoor growing section.

Anyone out there who would want to bother helping me finding those?

Plenty of grows in there of people growing outdoors and in the ground instead of pots. Now whether they have actually dug up their plants after harvest to see how far the roots have spread, it doubt it. A photo period plant, or a super auto might spread their roots over that big of an area but as I said previously, a dwarf autos strain just doesn't grow long enough or big enough to build that big of a root system. Generally speaking, a plant's root system is about as big as the amount of growth above ground. So if you've got a plant that is 24" tall and has spread out to 18" in diameter, that's about how big the root system is going to be. Growing a plant that size in 1 sq. m of soil is just a waste of soil.

Muddy speaks of people who have tried large containers vs. small ones...

Your 1m cube is unreasonable why dont you post just one pic of anyone growing an auto in a 264 gal container... indoors...or out.

ok maybe 10gals or 15 but..... 264 gallons= 1 cubic meter.

Calling out a moderater, will never get you anywhere, your trolling for an argument and thats BS. Nobody is going to grow a auto in 264 gallons of soil because nobody is that stupid. end of subject.

264 gallons of good quality soil would be a bit expensive for it to be worth it. you could grow a tree in that much.lol

@ Cres, I never ment to troll for an arguement, I only ment to get to see some pictures of AF plants growing in 1 mtr3 of soil under lots of wattage.

I am growing 30 dieselryders atm at a friends place in 1000 liters of "good enough" soil under 1200 wtt, and wanted to compare the results with someone who has got something similar going on or hopefully with even more watts as I do.

I don't do arguments Cres, I only do visuals and thats my "period" back at you.

At my friends place the tallest diesel ryder females are 1.30 mtr by now (47 th day, counting "day one" from the first day that the seeds hit the soil at the 5th of november, "or" almost 7 weeks old.

They started flowering at the 25th of november, so now they are 27 days, or almost 4 weeks in flower.

Maybe after harvest I willl make a picture of the plants and place it here. but just no pics of the setup. That is for reasons of that it is kept at my friends place who doesn't give me permission to shoot more then just his plants for obvious reasons.

Meanwhile I was hoping someone else could show me how something like this would turn out so I will have something to compare.

At my friends place I must say, things are looking real promising and my bet is that he will get the same amount of bud as he would get from regular 12/12 plants but only in a much shorter time.

Now on a personal level...

At first I was verry happy to have discovered this forum since auto's is totally where I am all about.
Been doing this for a long long time and have put all my heart and soul in it.
I created my own strain with help of the first batch of lowryder#2 ever available.
I Live high up in scandinavia under verry difficult growing conditions, but year after year did I manage to improve my auto stock and did I add new strains to my outdoor plots with tonnes of brought in, home made compost that was carried on my back deep into the bush.

but so my yada yada, and to keep matters short...

I was hoping to find SOUL MATES on this forum... and pictures!... Not yada yada yada shit.

Nough said.
