Pondering not using a grow tent...help me out.

I started my first grow in my basement in a tent but had some humidity/water problems so I moved the whole thing to an unused bedroom. My tent has been in there now for a few weeks and everything's going great except that my plant is busting out of the tent...it's at the tent walls, and it's getting close to the top.
I started wondering; if I'm providing the proper humidity and temp for that bedroom then why use a tent at all? My exhaust only vents into the bedroom, I open the door every morning to get fresh air in but the rest of the time, it's closed.

What are the pros and cons of not using a tent at this point?

Do I even need an exhaust fan if I just use the bedroom?

Just wondering out loud..could use some advice.

Well if you don't have an issue with the smells and nobody else will notice it you could do it. But I know when I open my tent the smell fills the room like skunks having a party and takes about an hour after zipping back up for the extraction fan clear the room back to normal.

So far, the smell is minimal and we live alone so no one would know. I havent been through harvest yet though, maybe it will get a lot worse.

I find leaving it open doesn’t build smells. If u leave my closet doors closed after a few hrs the house smells. I started leaving the doors open and the smell has gone down. It never has the chance to build up. Just put some different scented air fresheners around and it’ll trick the nose. You’ll get a faint wiff of weed then vanilla bean lol.

Been doin it this way for over a year now. Closed the doors overnight night the other day try to get temps up a little house stunk by the morning

House? How close is the neighbors? Window facing road or neighbor?

I run in garage.. and scrub with a cheaper filter on one tent at the moment. Closest neighbor's yard about 100' away and predominant wind pushes into 65 acres of woodland. My point is everyone's situation is different.. I figured I didn't want to take much chance.

In neighborhood, houses within 80 feet of each other but can't really pump anything outside.

Tent smells a slight bit when you open it but not bad. It would be ok if the room smelled but the rest of the house didn't smell overly bad.

The room isn't white colored. It's mid toned. I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

Also, I'd have to black out the windows; right now they just have blinds and blankets up because the light from the tent is very minimal.
