Ive dialed it down to two, possibly three choices...
SE250 by Amare.
P450 by Platinum..
And possibly the mid level model from spectrum king...

Please anyone with experience with these lights, or general knowledge...
Amare and the spectrum king, are both Cob, well the amare is a mix of cree, and cob...
And the Platinum is all cree...
Please anyone who can give me the general pros and cons of running with cobs, and or cree...
Im a hid grower, and im ready for the evolution to LED,..
This will be for a 3×3 to 4.5×4.5 area...
Also thoughts on using hps alongside led ???!!!

Please informed information please!!!!

I dumped my mass built led lights in favor of cobs from www.cobshop.net. I'm very glad that I did. They are much better lights. More efficient. Quiet. Less heat. Low electrical draw. Healthier plants. Small and easy to move around. Check them out. Hard to go wrong.

Hey, thanks for info...
Man the missus goes to school full time.
And im a disabled vet, severe ptsd, and anxiety.. and I don't have a lot of technical know how...
How user friendly (i.e dumby proof) are they to put together????
Ive never even ran a soldering iron...
Im sure they come with a blue print..
Could I put it together without taking a class???
When it comes to technology im not the most patient..
Probably why ive been so long to switch from hid lighting..
Again any info is very appreciated

Also looking into timber l.e.d kits...
Seem like a very good deal. Also tasty, and cobshop look awesome...

PM BigSm0 of www.cobshop.net, he can answer all your questions. I originally bought the 3500K assembled cobs, so I can't speak to the assembly part. I know quite a few have put them together, so I doubt it's too much of a pain.

Yeah i checked out their gear...
Definitely glad u recommended to the diy cob angle...
All the sites ive looked into tasty, timber, and cobshop seem to have ready to go options...
Really like the citizen rig setups timber has...
But really thinking this is the ticket, can always keep adding a little at a time. You're light can be a work in progress like a grow...
Great another aspect of growing to have me obcessed researching lol....
Maybe that's why ive really delayed the switch to led...
Really can't deny all the amazing results coming from cob grows

Really think I've dialed it down to ordering from Timber.
They have pre-built rigs with citizen, cree, and vero... can mix spectrum... very competitive comparable prices...
Plus love the fact i can upgrade this light.

Actually. Have had a lot of information to go through last couple weeks...
Want to thank @BigSm0 being as educational and informative and patient as he has. Recommend hitting him up if you have cob questions.

Have decided to go with autocobs from cobshop.
Since im growing autoflower, i want a light that was designed by someone who knows autoflower.
It is true if you ask a lot of these light companies if their gear is good for autos? And most will think you're talking about a car... funny but true...
Plus just troll through some of these threads and see the work being done with autocobs....
Kinda sell themselves if you look at all the pro's...
