First ever grow. Kind Soil water only regimen. 315LEC. Seedsman Sweet Tooth which they say is 80-85 days.

I’m at day 47 so roughly 40 days left. Great branch structure and potential colas. Compared to some other autos I have going the buds aren’t dense at all. No stacking yet. Is this just how some strains evolve and can I expect to see the colas fill in and then swell over the next 40 days? I did have some watering issues that cost me at least a week of growth. And I topped her which didn’t seem to slow her down. She just seems gangly and thought I’d get some opinions.

A lot can happen with an auto in 40 days. That being said, I have yet to come within 10 days of a stated harvest time.
Density can be affected by many things, temps, light intensity, genetics.
High temps will give fluffier nug as its opened more to transpire fluids.
Under lighting can also cause nurfle.
Sativas, coming from more tropical areas can be less dense as well.
If you've grown under the light before, and your temps are on target, I'd start looking at the lineage of the strain.

I just finished a run with 4 girls, a 65 day and 2 75 day and an 85 day. One came down 80 days, the rest went 90 to 95 days.

@Arthur thanks for the feedback. This is my first grow so I don’t have any experience to go on. I have a 3 other plants going as well with the leader so far being a Dinafem Critical + that looks to be about two weeks away which would make it about five days early from DF’s stated duration. Pic attached.

Yeah, I hope 40 or more days will fill out the Sweet Tooth. It has good bones.

Dont sweat it too much, this was my last run on day 50 from seed drop and day 70. Cut was mid 80s.
A few weeks makes a hell of a difference.

These are the new artisanals from mephisto. Run in the test thread if looking for other picks to compare.

I was kinda on a time constraint, needed everything curing by this week, past the burps. Gonna be off for a month or so. Looking back I'd run it all again. And I was worried too. Seems the autos really push the last couple weeks, I also was running 16/8, but last few weeks went to 24 straight. But I figured these girls to go 80 to 90 days.
Usually the times stated by breeders are for the earliest possible harvest. Not necessarily the ripest.

Well ,from strain to strain depending on the genetic, some will fill in better than others those gaps , but yeah you can surely expect some stacking phases to occur at some point, the question is always at "what degrees ".
They definitely are having growth pattern phases...

I find that anything leaning more on the indica side will have a tendency to fill the gaps better...

The worse is ,It's also impossible to know which one are gonna fill in better by just looking at the plants since a lots of factors are at play , the plant can be a hybrid looking like a sativa and be growing like a indica , and also be leaning more on indica side for the effects of the high,...vice versa...
