My personal choice for liquids is the Hanna Combo. Besides checking pH it also tests TDS and PPM. PPM, especially can come in handy. It normally runs around $120. For soil I use a Control Wizard Accurate 8. You can find them for about $50. You can get away with just one for liquids but it's nice to have both.
By the look of your plant, the yellowing on the edges, it looks like you've already got a pH issue.
So I need a seperate one for the liquid and for soil? I thought one of a simple Hanna would work on both I also suspect it might be a PH issue hence wanted to get a PH tester for future.
