Grow Room New To Growing

Ordered the rest of my supplies such as clip on fan,extension cord,pot elevator and other shit the tent kit didn't come with.Now I am looking for soil without paying an arm and a leg for in shipping.Bad enough I have no transportation or know anyone AND have a bad back and foot so getting around is hard.I wanted to try Root Organic soil and nute but shit is sold out everywhere or 2-3x the price....fuck.

I do not trust Amazon as most of their reviews I have been reading are pretty fucked up too like people getting soil bags ripped open,expired shit and so on or I'd do Amazon Prime...dunno yet.Only thing local I can get not too $$$$ is what @Zeromitch was using and that is what will be used as updated below.

Getting there little by little.Email I just got from growhouse says there is a 10 day delay in orders due to covid....yeah,sure.

Soil will be Miracle Grow the same that Zeromitch used and Build A Soil top dress on there way...into this for $466....Ouch....but have enough soil for 3 5g pots(will use what came with kit) and as long as all electronics behave themselves pretty much all pay once cry once items.

So until then I'll put up the tent and go from there.I will also do a grow diary on here as well.

I understand the worry on amazon but if a bag is ripped i think they will replace it, i ordered 2-3 bags of ffof with no issues but it is expensive! they sure do make their money off people on amazon that is for sure.

The miracle-gro will do fine since you are on a budget and it will do the job

Was able to get some Roots Organic soil too.Manager of my building gave me a ride to the store.So have a good amount of soil.

I've gotten in to the habit of filming the "unboxing" of items in the past few years, regardless of the vendor. Haven't had to use an entire video, though clipped images have been very helpful in a few instances.

My thoughts exactly.The last time I had a few lids laying around was back in the early 80's.....man,miss those days.The place I live in has a crappy in the wall A/C unit but no heater(place is ghetto AF and hope to leave soon)and gets pretty cold during winter.Anyone know if a small plug in the wall type personal heater would be ok to place if needed in the grow tent?

But yeah,it will be hard to believe when the flower adds up.Excited to say the least.

If it gets under 64F in the tent i would put 1 in there. Mine never gets under 68f so i have not needed one yet, we shall see what winter brings :smoking:

I would try local hydro shops, i heard ffof is $10 a bag and they have canna coco, equipment, and nutirents but i understand not having access to a vehicle, my nearest hydro shop is 45 mins away.. to far for me haha. yes i am amazon prime but amazon likes to fool people by including the shipping into the price and giving you free shipping but they have plenty of good deals on amazon but it does seem heavy stuff is not always better on amazon.

Ah yes,fooling the people like that.One thing I just did was looked on Walmart.I found a 1.5 bag of Roots Organic Original for 12 bucks and instead of shipping it to my place for an extra 15.99 I had it shipped to a closer Walmart right down the street from me to pick up at no extra charge.So when it gets in I can just go there and pick it up.

My local hydro shop was next to the cultivation center I worked at and there prices are good and shipping is so-so .Here grow stores are more like boutique types that over charge and selection is crap....so just gotta hunt supplies down and strike when there are good deals.
