HI, welcome to the site. It would be much easier to advise you if you gave us more info on your grow. Are you growing hydro or soil, chem or organics? The more info you can give the better the advice you get.

These are what I use.

The other one is made by Kelway

lucky you. having been concerned about this for a long time, what i have observed is that all the cheap meters seem to be equally as arbitrary, and you need to spend ~>$70 to get a decent one, which i haven't done.

i see the names oakton and blue labs used by reliable people. but as far as model goes, knowing soil or hydro would get you a better rec.

i'm still using drops and will be for a while

I didn't pay that for both my testers together. I think I paid $15.00 for the yellow one and $45.00 for the other one. Both came highly recomended by some folks on this forum.

I got both mine from ebay. Hmmm maybe I did spend $70.00, but that was for both of them together.

11.jpgMy grow medium is 50% peat moss, 25%perlite and 25% vermiculite. First time I am growing. Germinated seeds around 20 days back. Here is pic of one of the ladies

So you're doing soil-less/hydro? I've never seen that combo of grow medium.

I do not have access to good quality potting soils, hence went this route. Haven't fed any nutes yet.

My personal choice for liquids is the Hanna Combo. Besides checking pH it also tests TDS and PPM. PPM, especially can come in handy. It normally runs around $120. For soil I use a Control Wizard Accurate 8. You can find them for about $50. You can get away with just one for liquids but it's nice to have both.

By the look of your plant, the yellowing on the edges, it looks like you've already got a pH issue.
