PH Adjustment Advice

My plants are at day 57 and the big fans are starting to go light green/slightly yellow

I've had a PH meter since the start of the grow but never used it

I calibrated the pen ( which needed no adjustment)

I buy my water and has a ph of 5.9
With nutes added it's 4.4
and the runoff is 5.8

Would appreciate any advice on those figures, any other info i'll be happy to supply

PH should be 6.5 in soil bro.

PH should be 6.5 in soil bro.

Yeah i've read it should be there but wondering how to get it there, i've got some ph up which is potassium hydroxide (KOH) 25%
Should I up the PH of the nute mix? or water with a higher ph?
I'm also wondering how much of the ph up is needed to change 4 ltrs of water? trial and error i suppose,

When I tested the runoff it was with the nute mix of 4.4, so if I brought that up to 5.1 would that get a runoff of 6.5? guessing its not that easy

Hi brv as it 57 days now and you not use anythink to PH it i just let it go now as the yellowing tilling you she come to the end, next grow add some D-limestone to soil, should Hold @7 for you,and if you need to get the PH up use some ph up brv, Put some pictures up brv does help us grows to help you,Have a good day :peace: Kudo

I ph my water after adding the nutes. I would go with a higher PH than 6.5 to get your soil ph up. I have never had problems with my soil ph so I'm no expert lol

I only use about .5 ml of ph up to raise it ,this is for 2 gal.Start with small amount and work your way up.You should also consider using some dolomite lime and mix it in your soil.It still will take a little time for the lime to work.

I do live in a damp wet part of the world with hardly any sun so expected the plants to live a little longer!

All the advice I've seen, I agree with. But, just to emphasize one very important issue... you pH your fert mix before adding it to your soil for best results. The plants haven't suffered much from it (if at all). The slight yellowing I see just looks like the older fans in the early stage of dying back... which is normal.

Thanks Joe, i'm learning so much that I can't wait till my next grow, the growing season in the UK is so short
Thanks for the encouragement
