Hello and thanks for taking time to view my thread. I am growing 3 think different in 4 gal pots under 600w light hps.

My soil is home made compost i had sitting out side in my veggie garden. Well, when i brought the dirt in i brought some little critters with it.:Stones slap: duhhhh right...i know, im an idiot

Could someone please tell me or provide a link to what works best in your own experience to kill EVERYTHING but the plant organically?

Yes i know there is a search button. I am dealing with a crappy cell phone so i have allot of problems with searching, plus i would love to hear your own personal experience. Thank you for any input.

sounds like springtails. If it is there's no harm in them, I've got some in my tlo.

They breed fast in soil that's too soggy, let your medium dry a bit without going too far and hurting the plants. That or mosquito dunks have worked for me.

I get alot of spring tails and fungus gnats if I over water, also ive found that large amounts of steer manure in your compost, is great way to give yourself a nice lil infestation of pure annoyance lol

I've been fighting fungus gnats for 9 weeks. Neem oil cuts the #s down, but won't get them all. The wetter, the worse! I agree, let them dry out well between waterings. Sticky traps have been a joke, worthless for me. I would love to hear how others have successfully dealt with the little bastards! It wasn't much problem early, but my buds are soo sticky now that every day I find at least one stuck to a bud. I don't really want to smoke gnats so tweezers to the rescue! What a pain in the a$$! Sorry, not trying to hijack the thread, I was just going to start one when I saw this already going.

Fungus gnat solution. One gallon dechlorinated water, add one mosquito dunk, keep in the dark for 24 hours. Water your plants before lights out making sure to get enough in each to saturate the root ball. Gnats gone.

No, there is nothing in it that can harm you. Yes it's organic.

Thank you piggy! I will get the solution going asap! Provided I can find a mosquito dunk.

And super store should have them, check in the gardening section. Failing that you can order them off of the webs.

in my backyard i have a lot of sand.. kinda reminds me of the sand by the swing sets at school... but i'll take a bucket full of it and soak it over night, then i'll start scooping it on top of my soil. i think the sand shreds their eggs because after a few days there were hardly anything flying around.
