Fast Buds Perpetual Water Only Fast Buds Mix

I use 1oz. of popcorn buds per 2 cups of honey. Heat to no more 160 degrees for about an hour, add a tsp of water per cup of honey. Smash and mash the bud in the honey periodically during the cooking process. Then the messy part starts filtering the bud back out of the honey. The warmer honey the easier it is. I have purchased the appliance that does all of the cooking for you and the special filter bag but that’s the process.
We have found putting the honey in a warm beverage seems to hit faster.:coffee2::smoking:

edit: the flowers have to be decarbed which involves heating the flower material to 220 degrees for 25 minutes in the oven. That activates all the stuff your looking for.

I've made cannaoil before with olive oil or coconut oil in my Infuzium STX, I might have to try honey in it and see if I can set the temperature in it. I've got a Magic Butter decarb box. I've made brownies and used the coconut oil in hot chocolate. I like to do that with coconut oil but honey would be better, I could use it in coffee or tea. Better than smoking which I have done to much of lately.

You’ve got idea then. I was shopping magic butter site and they had a set of 3 different sizes of filters, probably before I make more the UPS man might have to visit. The honey is the wife’s favorite by far, she doesn’t care for gummy’s or brownies but that honey she will fight ya for.:yoinks:

Yeah, I had previously bought one MB filter but the Infuzium came with three filters, spatulas, butter mould, glove all the accessories. I had read about using a crockpot but all the directions I have seen have you wrapping the weed in cheese cloth and heat for 8 hours or more. With the Infuzium STX I have always been done in an hour or so with cannaoil and the end product was potent. But honey would be much better for hot drinks and it can be used in place of sugar in baking. Just worried about working with sticky substance.

I have plenty of Fastbuds strains vacuum packed and in the freezer to preserve potency after curing but always looking for a way to utilize it other than smoking or eating brownies and I have no experience in making other edibles. I've actually used olive cannaoil for cooking regular foods.

I like the cheese cloth idea with a crockpot. :thumbsup:Looking for anything to make straining the solids out a lot better. I have really struggled with the set up I have now which makes great cooking oils and such but the thick honey not so much.

All the young ones received attention yesterday so just a quick check of temperature in the 4x8 80 degrees.... good to go.
Let the old girls dry out yesterday. So I got them out today.

During the morning visit, found these girls dry and ready for water. All of these are 51 days above ground. I have never seen such a difference in how far along each plant is in flower being the same age. If I didn’t plant them I would say they are a week apart.

I’ve only ran one pack of the Cream Cookies but for the grower looking for a smaller, fast finishing, stinky, sticky plant I would recommend giving her a shot. The others I ran were not much larger than this one and all yielded over 2oz for me.

Again same age as above. This Gelato most likely going to run a 100 days or more which is going to jam up my operation but that’s a good problem. I could probably eliminate this variance with smaller pots I just like giving plenty of leg room.

Doing a little preparation for the batch just starting the stretch they will need water in a couple days, I mixed them up some compost tea to use then. I put a couple handfuls of worm castings, and compost in a 5 gal bucket mix in 1/2 cup of blackstrap, a couple splashes of Maxicrop liquid fish, and liquid seaweed. Put the bucket on a seed heater mat and plugged in 2 fish tank bubblers now I let it “cook” for 2 days.

I decarbed around 18 grams of weed I still had in jars from last year that hadn't been vacuum packed and frozen. Figured I better use them up before potency dropped even though I have smoked old weed before and still was good after two years with no Boveda packs to maintain relative humidity conditions. The RH in these jars had fallen to 59%RH today.

I checked out the Magical Butter Machine website and the had a video and recipe which was the same you mentioned. My Infuzium 420 appears to be an identical clone to a MBM, so I am able to set the temperature and time needed.

I went with around 18 grams as my cannaoil from coconut oil always seemed too strong and my dosing is never a sure thing. Probably 3/4 quart of honey. Just judged by eye as I didn't want to waste the honey that would stick to a measuring cup as I will lose some when straining that sticks to the filter or soaked into the waste product of the plants when done. The Infuzium blender action with pulverize the flower.

I used Fastbuds Gorilla Glue and Rhino Ryder and a few buds of Gooey 13 from a photo plant. Next up will be straining and jarring up in about 45 minutes if it works, then licking the bowl.

Couldn't find my MBM filter cups but the Infuzium came with a filter marked 190. Not looking forward to filtering. I decarbed in a MBM decarb box by their instructions, then set the Infuzium at 130 degrees Fahrenheit as they recommended. They recommended 160 degrees only for their older machines that didn't go below 160. I didn't want to burn my honey on my first attempt.

Checking in this morning watered the old girls yesterday figured I take a sec and check tric’s the first to go looks as thought it’s going to be the 6 shooter mostly cloudy and found a couple amber tric’s. If I am to keep on schedule these are supposed to be out of this tent in 9 days. Doesn’t look doable right now right now, so I came up with a relief valve. I use a 2x4 grow tent to dry and store some herb, I have it venting into the 4x4 for odor control. can mount a small light to carry seedlings for a week or so without working to hard for and environment.

The teenagers are good and dry and ready for some compost tea loving. I spread out out about 2 gal. of tea between the four of them and top off the watering containers with RO water depending on how big they are, smaller plants at this stage want about 3/4 gal per session while larger ladies want a gallon. They will want water again in about 2-3 days.

Having half of my compost tea left I’m going to ”reamend” the tea and let it brew for 2 more days to use on the older sisters. I do this after reading about a guy who was really into teas, he would check to see what was actually growing in the tea and was it beneficial, he claimed the teas brewed for 1-2 days were better for the younger plants while teas brewed for 3-4 days were better farther along in flower.
image.jpg

To reamend the tea I add in a 1/4 cup of blackstrap, a splash of both fish and seaweed also 1/2 of the recommended dose of “terp tea”. Not trying to feed the plants with this trying to grow microbes and fungi to process the nutes in the soil for the plants then to feed on.
