My recommendation (strong recommendation) would be to open up your passive intake more. Maybe like this: The width of the diameter of the holes through the whole front. I'd take a jig saw and cut parallel from left to right. I don't know if I'm being clear enough. Sorry.
OK, try to picture this: you lay a ruler over the three holes, trace it and cut the rectangle out. And preferably even again at the back for good measure. That's what I mean. The area of your passive intake should be at least twice as large as your exhaust. That will give you a lot more airflow and bring your temps down as well, as long as your ambient temps aren't too high.
