Blu smells like cotton frickin' candy!!!

OOOOHHH MMMYY GGOOODDD am I grinning from ear-to-ear. It may be the strain, it may be the sucanat supplement during flowering, but I set up my "drying chamber" in my room & my room smells like candy now

This month of drying/curing can't come quick enough

Oooooohhhh "SNAP"!!

So I went in to check on the harvest, even though they haven't even been hanging for a week. When I checked the stems though, they snap!!

So it's time to move on to the curing stage. I guess the airflow I had on them sped the process a bit.
I know that dry weight still can't be checked yet until curing is done (plus I don't have a scale anyway), but I can assure you all with confidence that I got my ounce, if not a little more

It's just a matter of time before I'll be tasting the final product. Who knows, maybe that'll be in a week as well...

Pre-Cure Smoke Review

So I bit the forbidden fruit and rolled a joint of the girl post-drying, pre-cured.

I'm high as I write this actually. That tells you something right there... It's not devastatingly narcotic. Anywho on the review. I was very pleased with her. I can feel/taste traits of both the AK and Blueberry.

THE SMELL
In one word: Spicy. Weird, I know. It smells like a baby skunk roadkill, only in the middle of an exotic spice section of your local WholeFoods, lol... with just a hint of sweet to it.

THE BUZZ
It's a nice balanced high that's quick acting. I' stoned and could easily slip into couchlock if I let. I'd say only a 2 or 3 on the paranoia scale. @ the same time it's clear thinking, uplifting. A happy, evening smoke if you will. The weed to unwind with.

THE TASTE
First Hit: "This doesn't really taste like the blueberry, I'm used to." Third hit: "Oooooh." You know how some weed has a high that creeps up on you. This one had that in taste. Not that it was harsh to begin with however. Very smooth and easy on the throat.

THE YIELD
My friend and I looked @ it and both agree it's at the very least 1.25 ounces. Pretty darn good for small, 57 days seed to harvest, I think.

THE VERDICT
An awesome "I still need to remain functional" weed. Great recreational. Not sure how great of a medicinal though. It's not the most potent weed in the world and is only giving me a mild munchie sensation (which I actually think is pretty cool). However, it is a really good and, thus far, long-lasting High. I'm proud of my first grow.

Day 46 update (Orange)/ Curing (Blu)

So I've neglected to show off Orange as of late due to the harvest of Blu. Have no fear though, she's doing well. She's finally rebounded from the top cola burn. Judging by the photo gallery, she's about 10 days behind Blu was at this age, which has been a bit of a constant. So Orange will probably go all 70 days. On the upside though, I believe she's gonna have a thicker coat of resin than her big sis.

Also included is a pic of Blu in a jar for curing. I admittedly invited a small group over last night and smoked a bit... probably smoked about 4-5g. I threw in a pack of gum as a scale...

Day 55 Update (Orange)

So I've started to flush Orange. I plan on harvesting in about 1.5- 2 wks. She's looking pretty dandy I'd say. She has a nice coating of trichomes. I'll be expecting her to start plumping up in these closing two weeks....

Day 63 Update (Orange)

So the little lady is for the most part doing as expected: getting a little more plump and losing some of her glisten (as the trichomes shift from clear to cloudy). Note I did say for the most part though... there was also a little surprise waiting for me. The tips of the majority of her buds have turned purple, which is pretty cool as far as I'm concerned. I remember wondering when I ordered the strain if I'd get any purple tones...
I'm thinking of maybe cutting her down this wknd. I guess I can wait it another week tho. 'can't blame me for being so anxious for a beautiful gal tho

Day70 Update! Orange is coming down...

This week has brought about two bouts of good news. (1) I found out I'll be moving to Cali next year

(2) Orange was harvested today; thereby, completing my first grow & rather successfully I think

I accidentally snipped some buds while manicuring her, then purposefully smoked them. Orange is more of a heavy hitter than Blu was, still very functional tho

Post - Drying: Yeaaaaa!!!!! Looks like we have another 1.25 ounces. I finally gotta scale, lol. Curing is now underway!

It was a very informative grow to me, both as a new grower in general and a new auto grower. I inspired a few people in my previous forum to try autos and I hope this may help/encourage/inform/entertain a few members here...

Thanks Killa! I can't wait until I move to a more grow friendly space. I've got my eye on a few auto strains I want to try, as well as a breeding project in mine. So hopefully there's plenty more journals and grows to come...
