I've done both.
In one case a plant stunted badly, and when the bigger colas looked ready I cut them. This revealed lots of light green, and yellowish areas that hadn't gotten enough light. I decided to let that mature another 2 weeks before I cut it.
In another plant that had been topped the mains were almost 2 ft taller than the rest of the plant, and the lower buds needed more light to catch up.

I was just wondering if it would stunt the autoflowers and just not so anything or go down hill.

It's harvest time, time to worry about stunting is when they are growing not at the end when your harvesting.....at worst your only letting the under buds go for a couple weeks more.
Did y'all see any growth on the buds you left? Wondering if so was it worth the time and having to dry 2 different times.
My last grow i chopped the main colas first and let the bottom grow out another 2 or 3 weeks and they thickened up quite a bit. Wont hurt anything.
I might be doing that just have to wait and see!
Yea it happens man nothing wrong with it. I topped and did some LST this grow so everything is even lighting for the most part and i lollipoped so hopefully i dont have to stagger. Im trying to run perpetual though so staggering backs me up a little.
So topping autoflowers when did you do it and it sounds like it worked out ok for you? I'm learning and I will be lollipoping and more LST next grow.
