Lighting Par Map

I use 5 Autocobs in a 4x4 and could probably use one more at flower, so 10? I’m a huge Autocobs fan, but dealing with plugging in ten?
That's what a power strip is for. Plug your timer into power strip and all the lights into the power strip. Or if not using a timer skip that step.

I have a 3x4x6 and a 4x4x7. I run four to five autocobs per tent. I can put a 3 gallon pot with a seedling in the tent with the lights at the top and will rarely get any significant stretch.

How big of a tent you using? Mine are in a 8'x4'x6.5' vivosun

I run 6 in a 4x4. So 12 in a 4x8, 6 each side. Any more than that, plants would stay short. Really short! My best results came from using 4) 3500k + 2) 6500k. Plants where beautiful, filled out and had long continuous bud.
Switched to all 3500k and get weird coloring aka the the mystery deficit mentioned earlier. The plants don’t seem to mind it, but it looks funny. Looks almost variegated.
I run mine at 60” from the floor. This allows my 20-24” enough head room to stretch naturally. The end height Is usually 21” above the tallest colas. The 6500k stopped the weird color, but added tooooo much leaf into the bud

Autocob reflectors? I must be missing something as it has been a few years since i purchased. :smoking:
I only think you need reflectors when you are in a big space with aisles around your plants. Smaller tents 5x5 just bounce the light off the walls.

I use 6 autocobs in a 3'x5' tent @ 16'' to 24'' above a plant. Below is a pic of when I had 5 autocobs. They did just fine.

I always start (2) babies in solo cups, in a tiny veg tent under a 96W 6500K T5~ and they do awesome.
Then at (2) weeks I transplant them into autopots and put them in the 4x2x6 big girls tent under (2) 3500K autocobs.
The issue always is.....I get monstrously tall plants with so-so bud!
My next grow I might start with 1 plant, and once in the big girls tent put (3) autocobs on her....then closer to flower add a 4th.
I WANT to keep the height down!

Not a PAR map (sorry for the huge delay, many projects of mine are in hold just like this one), but FYI I just took some readings from my 2018 3500k Autocob in a new 2x2 tent using an Apogee SQ520:
At 18 inches: 230 ppfd , 12 inches: 430 ppfd. Watt meter reads 59.7 Watts.

I'm really surprised by those readings. I've always felt that anything closer than 18 inches was driving the plants way to hard. I'm going to have to reevaluate...

So am I. And according to cobshop.net it says it should be 630 umoles @12"... so I guess I might have not taken proper care of my Autocob and the COB degraded way more than it should have**, and a newer Autocob or one properly cared for should give better numbers... or I'm just not taking the measurments appropiately. :confused1:

**I did use this autocob for quite some time in a shower with my veggies without any extra cooling while the time i used it in the cannabis tent I would use it with at least a fan hitting it directly.
