The reason I ask is because I think I'm hitting my plants with too much light throughout the day. I've just been starting to look into DLI and trying to figure it out. In a 3x3 I'm running 3 autocobs, a spiderfarmer sf1000 and a Mars cob 24 hours a day. I'm keeping the cobs backed up to 26" during flower but I still think I may be over doing my DLI. I keep the lights on 24/7 to keep temps up. I really don't want to add a heater to the mix. I always figured 1 light per plant, but now I'm not so sure.

I run 4 3500k autocobs without reflectors in a 4x4x7 with a fifth one at 2700k or 6500k depending on bloom or veg. From the first day I put them in the tent, I have to peg them to the ceiling or my babies will be so short and bushy from not stretching at all. plus I have seen the light stress from having them to close. They stay that way for the entire grow.

Hey thanks for the reply Hemi. I've been chasing some sort of deficiency for the last year and I'm starting to think it's not a deficiency at all, but rather light stress and too much DLI. Deficiency's can look like so many things It can drive a guy crazy. I'm always getting these spots and lime green leaves at the start of flower and always towards the top of the plant. More cal/mag, less cal mag, PH lower and higher, epsom salts new nutrients ect , it can drive a guy crazy. So I've noticed jacking my lights up has shown progress. My last grow I ran the cobs 26" above the canopy, I'm gong to try 30 this time. What sort of height do you use in veg and bloom for your cobs ?

To be honest, as I said I pull my cobs all the way to the top of an 80 inch tall tent. The girls are in 3 gallon pots on the floor in a tray, fed from a reservoir and for the most part, I let them grow to the light. If they start to stretch in veg, I will lower them, this rarely happens. If they won’t stretch enough, I will deem it time to remove the 6500k cob. I have on some strains even turned off one of the four 3500s for a day or two just to tease them into stretching a little.

I learned the hard way trying to get these Cobs as close as possible. So I place them as far up as I can and let the plant tell me. Now full on flower you can get up close and personal, but you still have to be careful.

Very nice.
How many of bigSmo's autocobs would you run in a 4x8x72 tent? I know sometimes we can't extrapolate these things.
Thanks.
